FYI, EDC lineup has been announced. Lots of techno goodness and a lot of everything for everyone.

Edc lineup = cheesefest. They have like 3 tech acts and nothing on Sunday.

EDC is so much better than EZ it's not even funny.

Free parking, free cooling off zones, a great lineup. Only $12 in service fees compared to EZ's $40+. Only $200 for three days compared to $250 for EZ.

It's basically the same thing, except it's not a ing ripoff. The only advantage I'd say EZ has is set times. Days are better for festivals than nights.

EDC is actually $215. It's also an hour shorter a day. They also have twice the amount of people going so twice the revenue. You would think EDC would be cheaper given the revenue they take in. Ezoo also has free cooling off zones and you can travel there for free as well.

Anyone have any hotel recommendations? I have a place to stay and so do most of my friends, but we were considering getting a place togther cause it will be more fun that way.

I've tried looking around a bit but wouldn't mind some recommendations from others. Something fairly close (or is that just a horrible idea given the area?), reasonable (hah, I know it's NYC but I mean by the city standards), and safe. Oh and probably a hotel that doesn't care if 5-6 people are in the room...Any ideas?

Try airbnb. You can rent a large apt for less than a hotel room.

I got my ticket for EZ for $170, with the service charge.
I park in the city for free and take the ferry over, $20 round trip.
I'm sure lineups are about the same, including local talents.

Sounds like a wash to me?

No I would imagine its a HUGE mess. There are only two ways in and out I believe.

I did this last year; parked on a side street on the UES and walked 5-10 minutes to the ferry. Worked out great. The line for the ferry leaving at the end of the night does suck a bit.

So, I'm pretty sure they'll be doing something where you won't be able to sell one of your days. Which kinda sucks. I really shoulda bought about 5 early birds, sold 4 of them (could easily get $300 out of each, almost 100% profit),and went basically for free with cash to blow.

Also, if the festival sells out, 3-day passes can go for $500. Now I know for next year.
