They rather have DJ Pauly D. Obviously he is such a skillful master DJ that eco doesn't even come close to his top notch transitions, eq work and beat matching.

Made Event grubs for money like they do because they are essentially a mom and pop business. And the motto for those is "money first, customer service later".

They have a do-it-yourself PR person that treats them like some elusive mega corporation.

They're the only promoter I know of in the country that will increase ticket prices like $30-40 from the introductory price for indoor events. Every other concert it's a handful of dollars. As it stands right now EZ 2011 is the worst dollar-per-value festival in the nation. It's more than Ultra, has a fraction of the artists, and is held in a less than ideal location.

The bit from them that 1-day passes might not be available is probably a lie. No way they sell 75,000 tickets at $300 each before the summer.

And it doesn't help that lots of people here pay $250 for EZ passes before a lineup is even announced. You're setting the precedent for everyone else by letting Made Event know they can do this and people will buy into it. The small percentage of diehards are forcing everyone else to bend over and take it up the ass.

not saying the one day passes wont happen, but they sold thousands of tickets in 2 hours the other day at the new prices and just with only announceing 3 names...i def think each day is gonna bring 20-25k people each

haha It's all good, man... New York's New York, I'm just happy things are working out for me elsewhere, where it matters! That's really a non-issue though, I really would have gone if it were $75 less.. I have no problem being a customer when the product and the price are justified.

They don't have to sell 75k tickets. They have to sell 25k-30k tickets or how many they can fit in the area. Ultra already showed us that many people are willing to pay $300-$600 for these tickets. Has a fraction of the artists as Ultra? After it's all said in done the lineups will probably be very similar, and EZoo's will probably be better via Sunday School. The bottom line is, if tickets sell out Made priced the festival fairly and appropriately. If ticket sales are slow you'll probably see discount codes popping up all over. Maybe the concept is just easy for me to understand since I'm an Econ major, I dunno.

i dont wanna argue anymore in this thread about this festival
iam tryin to stay postive and gonna wait for the line-up, but seriously you dont see a problem with them only posting 3 dj's names and shooting ticket prices up $100 bucks from the early bird?

they are only marketing to a certain crowd, and imo not a very broad one at that

oh yea I wish they post the full lineup of course but it's not really a big deal. Every year it's the same way and the final lineup is always epic so I'm not really concerned. The problem is they probably don't have the full lineup zipped up yet so I dunno if they could even if they wanted to. SSFD in Miami was the same way and the final product was nuts. Worse case scenario is the lineup isn't great and you can sell the early bird tix for double. So I've learned if there is something you wanna go to, buy the early bird tix no matter what, it's always worth it.

the best that u can do with that amount, is getting top class seats for the Spain vs. USA game in boston :wtf:
