| How bout for say student houses who run 3-6 computers off one line? Would all of them need to get their own packages? This is some pretty big BS. Good thing I have my own apartment or what I mentioned above could get pretty hairy. Like as a video gamer, DJ, and everything inbetween, this has some serious consequences. |

You know what? I do complain about HD prices, and don't pay them. HD signals look like in this country, because companies like bell and rogers compress the out of them. I use an antenna and get the pure signal from the broadcaster, which looks much much better and all it cost me was a one time fee of $45 for then antenna.

LOL lets not open up THAT can of worms in this thread. |

So you'd pay $10 to visit TA, another 10 to visit your banks website to do banking etc etc etc?

Well what we have here folks is what used to be a technology service that is turning into a utility.
The more this technolgy becomes essential or mandatory for life in our modern world.
It then becomes a utility, metered like Natural Gas, Electricity or Water. Both of these were unlimited for everybody at one time.
In Aurora, Water was unlimited up until 15 years ago. Every household paid a flat tax for water. Now we pay by usage.
So I'm ready to accept this as a fact of life. However If this is the avenue we are going, then there should be just as strict guidelines to the ISPs, just as there is the the utilities we have today. Will this happen anytime soon? Not likely. It just will take a few politians to be as inconvenienced as we are are to strart doing something about it. |

What you guys aren't realizing is that the way we entertain ourselves is different...
More and more ppl are switching from cable to internet for watching programming and big cable sees this big time...
They are just gearing up for it by boosting internet rates in preparation for ppl getting rid of their cable. It'll probably cost us the same overall. The charges will just be switched. I pay more for cable now then I do internet but as I watch more online, I'll get rid of some of my cable package..
Do ppl think that they will really be able to get for free??
NOW... That being said...
I do STRONGLY feel that we are paying WAYYYYY too much for both internet and cable. Unfortunately for me and others is that I am willing to pay these amounts every month and this is why they charge it..
If you aren't willing to pay, then cancel. When enough ppl cancel, rates will drop..
Until then.. Deal with it!!! |

| Too many old timers that missed the technology bandwagon are going to ruin it for the rest of us because of their low expectations of what technology is and can be... as usual. |

Time for some people at Industry Canada and the CRTC to lose their heads. If I can find some of the head peoples addresses and phone #s I will post them ;) It might take me time to find it, seeing I do not have access to government employees info.
Bell Canada - President

I currently don't have his personal phone # or email. The address is what Bell Canada filled for his address for tax purposes. So this is the most accurate information since October 2010.
This is for educational purposes only. |
And why would anybody post this guy's home address???
Do you not realize how dangerous that is??
Is it good to put someones family and property in danger because they run a prosperous business??
If you want to hassle the guy, fine. But write him at work and leave his personal life out of it....
Nice house btw... Checked it on google maps... |

When I was in one, Cogeco charged us $160 a month and it was capped (don't remember to how much). If they know its a shared residence they pull all sorts of out. We changed our plan eventually to a cheaper business plan that met our needs. |
