Well that's other countries and we don't live there so again, we have to deal with it...
Internet is as much a right as cable and fuel and McDonalds...
These are all businesses here and we have to pay for them...
Which brings me to another question???
Why the hell aren't ppl so passionate about paying 114.5 cents for a litre of gas when in other countries, they're paying half??? |

Justin. How are these student houses charged for cable for each connection?? |
Well, I'll use an example of a previous apartment I lived in. There were three of us in it and we "split" our 60 gig usage. So we each had 20 gigs a month. That would barely cover regular use. I think better way to put my question is if that cap is put so low, would each person in the apartment need to have an account to cover themselves
ps I met a friend of yours... Amanda in London |

I don't use gas, emergencies when I have to.
And internet cannot be grouped any longer in the way you have managed. I do not treat the internet connection like a cable connection or fast food. In fact to do so would be a blunder of epic proportions. It is regarded much more highly by myself and many more like me. In fact I can safely say that the internet is the closest thing we have to a savior, but again I can understand if all this just passes over your head. And of course may also sound like hoopla all together but hey. |

Oh this was 6 years ago, not sure what it would be like now, but yes it was a good enough deal. But we went over some months. |

But were you paying the regular price for your 60 gigs???
If yes, then you could've paid a little more for... more... Right???
And that's great that you met Manda... She's a cool chick... Very good friend... |

If everyone thought like this we would be in an economic stone age. |

Also, if you are with Rogers or Bell, work the retention department. Last month I received a free PVR for a year and just last week, I threatened to cancel because of rates increasing. They put me on the 30-20 plan- 30% off for one year, 20% the next. I'm saving 45 bux now. IF you are with Rogers for your cell, do the same (say wind or some other company is offering you a better plan and you wish to cancel), my girlfriend now pays $40 for:
350 weekday minutes
unlim even 6 and weekends
unlim network calling
unlimited incoming
2500 out texts
unlimited incoming texts
call display
voicemail
100 long distance minutes
500 mb DATA plan
and $5 credit
Telus offers a $50 retention:
350 min, unlimited 6pm/weekends, unlimited text, unlimited incoming, call display, voicemail, 30 min long distance, 500 mb data
Anyways, end thread hijack |

It seems the only ing way to get relatively good rates on anything these days is to push and shove, yelling and popping some veins. Cant believe I gave up my ORIGINAL City fido plan. Unlimited EVERYTHING $40 a month :D |

Like where? Cause most countries pay more than we do for gasoline. And pay way less for more internet.
edit: oh ya, I just watched CTV's bit on this issue. What a piece of uninformative bull. I love how the talking puppet at the end summarized it like this (paraphrasing): "Make sure to check your bill for internet caps, and if you're paying too much: watch less videos online"
great ing suggestion. with news networks like this, its no wonder this country is going down the ter. |
