Maybe but you didn't answer my question. Do you think the finite resources for digital production (internet etc etc) are as finite as the ones that support water etc. |

Your arguments are borderline idiotic. |
Are you that reliant on internet that you would be lost to find information without it?
The internet is a great source for information but to suggest that you could not survive or get the information you need to live your life without it is idiotic. |

fun fact, as per wikipedia:
Neanderthal cranial capacity is thought to have been as large as that of Homo sapiens, perhaps larger, indicating their brain size may have been comparable, as well. |
they say that the slopped forhead tho meant that the brain was actually smaller in the important area of the frontal cortex for high functioning reasoning and thought forming.
also, we all know that the size of the brain doesn't matter. Neanderthals didn't survive, since they couldn't adapt as well. |

Because it's a part of my every day life. I use it for news, music, information, research, etc etc etc. I barely watch any TV. In fact I could live without TV altogether. |
So it would be inconvenient or require a change in lifestyle to have your internet access limited to public libraries or other non-residential access points. That doesn't equate to non-viable. What you are saying is that the convenience is worth paying what the ISPs charge... which is exactly what I'm saying. So why bitch about it... you've clearly determined that it's worth the cost therefore it is priced correctly. |

how in the hell does that relate to anything? We are brothers too...so does that mean it must be something in our genes? |

It's not as finite as those other resources. You think digital technology is more finite in terms of resources than water, electricity and power systems? |
that's immaterial... you said the ability to transfer data was not finite; however, if the infrastructure is finite then the ability to transfer data across it is as well. There is a cost to maintain and replace the infrastructure, that cost is elevated by increased traffic. I'm not saying that the rates being charged accurately reflect this increased cost; just that your contention that the transfer of data is not a finite resource is incorrect. |

I'm actually saying that bitching and moaning about it is pointless and encouraging people to take actual action if they feel they are not getting value for money... not really the same as advising someone to take it in the ass. |

The fact that you can't see outside your little bubble is whats idiotic. The suggestion that I can't get the information that I need (or want) without the internet is completely realistic. I think you just can't comprehend the scope of the internet. For every 2 newspapers that I generally read, there's maybe 10 websites that have the same coverage but from a different angle, and getting the story from multiple perspectives is pretty important if you want to understand the situation. There's also websites out there dedicated to subjects that you'd be hard pressed to find coverage on in newspapers, or magazines.
There's loads of other examples out there too, some mentioned in this thread. |

lol. not only that but journalists use the internet now to do research. what would they put in these newspapers now a days if there was no internet access for them.
i just know that the 3 old foggies are just arguing for the sake of arguing. don't sweat it people.
i actually have a feeling that this will be overturned. |
