Why? Honestly, exactly how is cancelling your home internet access not a viable option? |

Its almost like you have this fetish to get to a simpler time, where everything is easier to grasp.
I'm just upset that millions of years of evolution coupled with billions for star formation has lead the universe to manifest itself as someone who doesn't mind erasing everything and going to a simpler time instead of taking the rout that helps us advance beyond our primitive ways.
We didn't survive millions of years without internet, we evolved for millions of years to invent it and use it to our benefit. |
I'm not suggesting for one second that we erase technology and go back to living in caves. People are trying to suggest that the loss of the internet would destroy mankind....which is far from the case. Yes, it would suck not having the technology and life would be different but we could survive and live a very normal life without it. |

lol. yes, because commenting on how i look really adds to the discussion.
cro-magnon refers to your intellectual advancement (only in this particular discussion btw), not the way you look, since i have no idea what you look like.
you should take cro-magnon as a compliment. at least i didn't call you Neanderthal. then maybe i would be commenting on your looks as well as your intellect. (hee hee, nerd joke) |
fun fact, as per wikipedia:
Neanderthal cranial capacity is thought to have been as large as that of Homo sapiens, perhaps larger, indicating their brain size may have been comparable, as well. |

The infrastructure that makes that transfer possible does have a finite lifespan, which is decreased by increased traffic. Just sayin'. |
It's not as finite as those other resources. You think digital technology is more finite in terms of resources than water, electricity and power systems? |

Because it's a part of my every day life. I use it for news, music, information, research, etc etc etc. I barely watch any TV. In fact I could live without TV altogether. |

then don't complain about the costs....as long as you are willing to pay for it the price will keep going up. If you want things to change then make the sacrifice and live without home internet access....if enough people do it then things will change. The problem is people are not willing to give up luxuries they have grown up with it....and yes it is a luxury and yes most people on here have grown up with it and don't know a life without internet. |

yes the internet is the only source for all that information...pick up a paper or go to the library and you can get all that same information....you are just being lazy because you have the luxury of having internet. |

We're very concerned about CRTC's decision on usage-based billing and its impact on consumers. I've asked for a review of the decision.

the digital technology can only last as long as we have the natural resources to run them. |

that is very true....there is also some thoughts that homo sapien neanderthal and homo sapien sapien lived in communities together. |
