So ok guys........
my Shoulders are chillin, and i know how to work upper body just fine.
I mean, i gained 20lbs in 3 months alone in upper body mass.
but here's the thing- i drink tons of beer and alcohol.
my abs arent the best. Im trying to get my abs/obliques and that general stomach area in tip top shape.
once i got all that down- i should be modeling for calvin klein underwear in no time!
so how do i work abs, bitches? |

| read jasons stuff... and quit drinking. You need like 9% body fat or lower to have good abs |

here is a little ab workout for you to do...
hanging leg raises - 4 sets to failure
oblique machine - 4 sets of 12-15 reps
standing side crunches - 4 sets of 12-15 reps
ab machine 4 sets of 12 -15 reps
medicine ball situps - 4 sets to failure
i think if you did that regularly and cut down on the drinking...you'd be modeling in no time ;)
god i need to take some of my own advice :wtf: |

ok, when i was in highschool i was quite the athlete...
played 3 sports and yeah, i was skinny as teh , but i was all tone muscle.
crazy
anywayz- i did creatine back then and yeah i know what it does blabla.
think i should buy me some and go back on that stuff before working out?
is it worth it?
advice on protein shakes would be ideal as well :) |

| if it matters, ive not used supplements in 3 years...cept a year ago i did protein shakes for like 2 months...ive gained more from just eating right and workin out hard than I ever did with bs stuff. Do you have any IDEA how HARD you have to work to make supplements effective?! hehe |

if you're gonna maybe do creatine again...i'd wait until after you get back into it. i just think that'd be better because it'll help you maybe get over a little plateau or something...
as far as protein shakes go, i'd just get some simple whey protein...a good protein powder will usually have about 22 grams of protein per scoop and little carbs so you can balance that how you want it. |

i basically lived off of protein shakes and grapenuts all through high school and i was in great shape. i wouldn't suggest it for most people because its hard to eat just that , but it worked really well. i think its the way you use supplements though. i mean, i really just used protein shakes because i could measure exactly how much of everything i was getting at each meal and through out the day...and that was effective. i really don't know about some of the other things like creatine and stuff...i'd rather just let diet do the work... |

| Im not against it...but i think people should try to get in the mentality of just figuring it out by themselves first and then getting into the 3rd party help area. Protein just made me and fart like a madman. and its hard on your body to live off it hehe. Hurts your liver and heart. |

I like to throw down on the protein shakes every now and then, usually every 2 months or so.
Sometimes I just get so tired of eating the same old sources of protein that I use a shake to change it up a bit until my palate will let me go back to my same ol-same ol' protein sources. |

The sad reality of it is that the majority of my day is spent by myself in my car...so I'M the one who has to bear the brunt of the punishment. :(
That's why it's only every 2 months or so! |
