SLC as in salt lake? I rode Park City, Canyons, and Snowbird...PC was my favorite mountain out there |
Yeah, SLC = Salt Lake City. Brighton is the most underrated mountain out there. Definately check it out. It's also the cheapest. Lift tickets are around $40, whereas the rest of the mountains are above $70. It also caters to the snowboarder with a nasty snowboard park. It also has some good inbounds steeps. Snowbird is also crazy, but not in the same way. The bowls and steeps at snowbird are amazing. Personally didn't like PC.
The best mountain in all of North America is definately Whistler. Those who haven't been there, check it out. P.S. you can save money a $hitload of money if you fly into Seattle instead of vancouver, and take the extra 2 hour drive. (whistler is 2 hours from vancouver, and 4 hours from seattle). |

Agreed. Brighton is a great mountain and Solitude isn't bad either. They are probably your best bets in Salt Lake on any powder day as it seems like only the locals choose to ski there. Good tip on Whistler! I thought Seattle was much further away. The difference in airfare between Vancouver and Seattle for the dates I'm looking at (early march, midweek) is about $180. The flight selection is much better to Seattle too with red eyes for us hardcore skier/boarder working types and cheap nonstop flights. Nonstops to Vancouver are $500 versus $250 for Seattle!

I am a good mountain whore. I can't stand skiing out here on these little mountains and with the weather we've been having I can't imagine there's anything to ski on anyway.
, I was wondering if that was you. I think I was getting off at Times Square when I saw you. I did a double take... :toothless |

Im going out to Whistler around March 12th, its makes sense to fly into seattle if you don't mind the drive. If you go with 3 other people, your saving anyone from 800 - 1000 between the four, that's the condo rental in whistler. You figure you have to rent a car either way. Plus, if you're into powder, you can stop at Mt. Baker on the way back. That's the best powder spot on earth. |

oh ok so it was you lol yea mornings everyone is groggy on the train i dont look at anyone cuz im going to hell/work.
just got back from camelback with frost and bliss and i ate it big time today, toe lip coming out of a heel on a tiny little jib in mid run, definitely a confidence smasher as the mountain beat me up on my left side of the face. minor bruising alittle scraping....definitely thought about that one for like 2 minutes.
i think im doing whistler next year for a week and a half, also heard that flying into seattle is much better plus the drive up i hear is beautiful. Next season, Tahoe is getting love this year as i'm doing her up first week of march for 9 days. |

It was OK, the snow and trails were 100x better than that first time @ Killington... I actually had a lot of fun today... then I fell into a ditch full of dirt and grass ass first, legs up in the air, I swear to god lol ... also drive home was 5 hrs by the time I dropped everyone off... I think I'd rather take the Emilio's bus... all in all a good day of boarding for all I think.
Yea Brian had some nice cuts on the cheek, that was the mountain giving him a little roughing up to wake him up... |
