| i FINALLY went riding for the first time this season yesterday. We haven't gotten much snow this season but i was pleased that the trails weren't icy. Any 100% of the mountain (i went to Kirkwood) was open. I am very psyched for my week at squaw valley next month! |

next to whistler and snowbird, squaw has the best natural terrain. I absolutely loved it, have fun! |

you're absolutely right about burton outerwear, they make the best. However, in the core business, boards and bindings, burton doesn't make the best. For freestyle, i know from experience that ride makes the best.
BTW, flow bindings suck. The ease to which you can get strapped in is heavily outweighed by the drawbacks (heavy bindings, ty forward lean, poor pressure areas on the boot). Stick with strap in bindings. If you can get a convertible front strap, that would be best.
Someone said its not the equipment, but the rider. That's true to an extent, but you can't deny that a good deck that's lightweight and flexible improves you landings. If you do deny that you simply don't know what you're talking about. |

I rode strap-in bindings for an entire season and never found anything more comfortable or secure than my new Flow NXT AT's. They took me bout 3 days at the mountain to get used to and then I flew. Can't say I feel any bad pressure on the boot or foot as you say; instead, I feel it's very well distributed... neither are they or do they feel any heavier than high-end strap-ins e.g. Salomons, Rides, or Burtons that I've ever picked up. |

i haven't made it to whistler or snowbird yet. though the terrain in austria was also really awesome. i am really lucky to have squaw as my "home" resort. |
