we are supposed to be getting a big storm tomorrow. let's hope there is another one behind it.

they still haven't opened "the stash" at northstar. hopefully this next storm will bring enough snow.

I'd love to hit a road gap. I hear they have a road gap at the stash.

What exactly is the 'cat track jump' at the stash??? I jump off cat tracks all the time out west, but i have not idea what a 'cat track jump' is.

probably not, since the stash still hasn't opened yet. you should make jetblue reschedule your flight for the next big storm. then you can ride some fresh powder. looks like this weeks storm should bring close to 2 feet at kirkwood. :)

i just got this email from someone at work:
quote:

Text from several Tahoe ski area websites over the last couple of days…. read at your own risk, potentially hazardous to productivity.

- Over 7 feet of new snow in 6 days. The snow is light and fluffy! Call in sick, take a half day…just get out and ski/ride Alpine!

- The most epic powder conditions are waiting for you! Call in sick, take a half day…just get to Alpine!

- …THAT'S 14 FEET OVER THE LAST COUPLE WEEKS! The time is now. You'll never regret missing work or school, but you may regret missing all this POWDER!”

- The most epic powder conditions are waiting for you! Another 2 feet of new snow has fallen in the last 24 hours! Start planning your vacation now, because the snow just keeps getting deeper and deeper!”

- (ALL TERRAIN PARK FEATURES ARE BURIED. PLEASE BE PATIENT WILL OUR PARK STAFF)”

- Powder hounds and snow-holics, pack your snorkels! The powder is plentiful at Sierra Resort with another 6-10 inches of snow overnight. Forecast calls for an additional 2-3 feet by tomorrow. February is looking fabulous!

- Another 6-8" of new snow fell overnight with more forecast for today. This brings us a 6 day storm total of almost 8 feet of superb light snow.

- IT'S DUMPING! OVER 6 FEET AND COUNTING The most significant snowfall of the season continues. Over 6 FEET has fallen since Thursday. Kirkwood has received over 13 FEET since 2/8/07.

Hwy 50 is still closed due to mudslide but I80 is open.
