That's gotta be the tiest opening ceremony in a while. One would think that with the advances in technology events like these would improve. I still think Pitbull and JLO in charge of official song was a horrible idea. And no authentic samba dancers in the ceremony? :whip:
Brazil game: it has been said already. The ref made a bad call based on his angle and the speed of the play followed by the cry of the home fans which was basically everyone in the stadium. It happens.
The match itself was quite entertaining, even though the first half had Brazil with the ball most of the time. It was a decently open game. But the hosting team needs to play better going forward.
Also, am I the only one getting sad watching Kaka in the stadium but not on the field? :( |

Penalty was bs. I think the GK for Croatia sucked ass. Could've saved all 3 goals... good game though... the ref will sucked also...

You know... I thought I was having a bad day yesterday. Then I saw Marcelo score the first own goal in the history of the Brazilian national squad, which happened to be the very first goal scored in the World Cup that, to make things even worse, is happening in his home country :p
It was bitter-sweet though. Watch Neymar score that penalty made me cringe more than anything. |
