I had Brazil winning this one, with refs being conditioned (like in the early first half when the flag was raised for offside only after realizing the ball didn't go inside).
Ochoa showed why he was chosen over Corona who most thought was going to be the main keeper for the Mexican squad. He made many good saves putting his body on the line.
This was a very exciting match even though there were no goals. Ochoa definitely stole the show, which was something nearly impossible considering the rest of the players on the pitch.
The closing of this group will be quite interesting. Brazil needs to win against Cameroon and Mexico will need at least a tie. Croatia is likely to win today, putting them at 3 points.
As it is right now, 4 points for Mexico doesn't mean much considering Croatia will be their last opponent. Good job thus far though for the Mexicans. |

what was that about. on the radio, the color commentator said that the linesman looked like he was about to run out to celebrate a brazil goal, and then raised the flag once it didn't get in. what was that?
:wtf: |

No, he was about to run back to midfield, as linesmen do when a goal is scored. The main ref also does this but may stay behind or go back if celebration is taking longer than expected. It looked too obvious when the linesman went back and raised his flag for offside once the play was over and the ball was over the end line and not inside the goal.
It sucks for Cameroon though. They are bound to get a few unfair calls. Brazil will get at least one PK if they don't score on their own early in the game. |

What the is up with this guy? . The only reason to take Ramires out was because he's dangerous and had a yellow, so Willian should have come on for him. Oscar sucked today indeed, but putting Jo on was an even bigger mistake than taking him out for Willian. Fred should have been replaced with Bernard and I think we would have had a bigger shot at winning.
Edit: Oscar and Willian is such an epic mid-field duo, they both grow when the other is on the field. Felipao is such a stubborn motherfucker, I don't understand why it has to be either one or the other. Especially when there are for brains on the field like Paulinho. |

Yeah, forgot about Jo:

| Straight up! The guy is absolutely useless with the exception of the lucky header he gets in every 12 games. |
