| Well, that free kick has just usurped Rooney's corner kick as the worst set play of the tournament. |

Even if Algeria lose, they're being great. Holding the Germans for this long is itself already quite a feat. |

| Bloody hell, what an ending and what a game. France - Germany is going to be essential viewing. |

| Great game Algeria has my respect. That's how you finish they left everything on the field. |

This was hilarious :stongue:
It shows how exhausted they all were by that point though.
Edit: Brazilian TV claims it may have been done on purpose. Müller doesn't seem to have tripped on anything and this allowed him to go right through the Algerian defence because no one took him seriously during the next few seconds.
I find it unlikely... but, if there's some truth to it, this was genius. |

| They were all completely spent, so chances seem high it was an accident. The end of the game was full of people falling over. |

I thought it was done on purpose the moment I first saw it. The Univision commentators seemed to agree with me.

It was, only Muller didn't get the ball afterwards, but you can see that if it works it would have been awesome. Now it looks like a massive fail and rather funny.
Edit: link at previous page doesn't work anymore, Fifa is strong...
The goal Algeria made was a nice one by the way, just a little late. They had a good chance beating Germany and no-one would have complained if they had. |
