I'd agree it was more about Brazil than Germany. With Neymar out all they were thinking about was how they would score. The strategy looked like score early and often. They didn't respect Germany's offense. Brazil in my eyes had become over reliant on individual talent and playing with an offensive advantage.

No chance. They might well lose, and even lose something like 3-0, but they've been very tight at the back all tournament. In fact, that cautious, tight approach is probably the cause of their stifled attacking play, which is unusual given how attack-heavy their squad is but reflects how Sabella has approached this tournament. Keep it tight at the back, play with organisation and rely on isolated moments of brilliance to win matches. In six games they've only conceded three goals, two of which came in their win over Nigeria when they'd already qualified from the group.

The reason Brazil were slaughtered is they were completely gung-ho. Without his two best players Scolari seemed to abandon a cohesive gameplan in favour of trying to win the game on sheer team spirit and will power. He even brought in Bernard to try and whip up the local crowd. Brazil lost so heavily because Marcelo kept rampaging forward and leaving a huge space for Muller, because David Luiz cannot organise his own defensive positioning, never mind the entire team's, and because they all completely lost their heads when they started conceding goals so early having set up to attack, attack, attack.

Germany are definite favourites in the final but it could be a lot closer than you think. Thus far when Germany have played a big team they have scored an early goal which has allowed them to dictate the terms of the game. If Argentina can score first or they continue to keep it tight, things could be very interesting.

Don't know man. Guess we'll see. Any predictions for tonight's match?

Holland 3 - Brazil 1
sensorium
brazil 4 - ned 0. It's about honor now and since holland doesn't give two s about 3rd place, it is all for brazil to get some redemption.

argentina 3 - ger 0. this is messi's world cup. many critics say germany is favorite for obvious reasons but argentina has had a great run as well, more reserved but great nonetheless. i wouldn't be surprised if they present a different tactical game for the final.

my magical balls have messi scoring two.

These play-off matches are hard to predict because there's nothing on the line and both teams tend to throw off the shackles and attack. I'd expect both teams to score and the game to have 3-4 goals but I can't call it in any particular direction. Holland are the better team but Brazil do really need to salvage some respect.

Yeah Brazil should be more motivated they owe it to their fans to make things right. Should be close both teams evenly matched. I don't care who wins as long as it's entertaining.

There is only one color for this and that's RED of course!!! Big big fail.

Yellow for Robben, this ref should be fired at once.

a) the free kick should be out of the box
b) I agree, red for robben. its a disgrace for the dutch team.
