Lol, I love winding poeple up about offsides (especially when they're not an offside).
The linesman was right in front of it, and whether or not you agree, that's the way of the beautiful game. Personally I don't think it was.
And as for Robben, I can name you a dozen other players (not to mention the entire italian squad) that will self-faceplant if you get within spitting distance of them anywhere in the box.
You know this. You know this about Robben. So don't ing grab his shoulder! It's not rocket science and besides, Silva was ing lucky not to get sent off so it goes both ways.
They wholeheartedly deserved to lose this match for the way they played and got outplayed but I do feel bad for Brazil though as a whole. It would have been nice for them to go out on a high. |

The second goal was definitely offside. The foul for the penalty was one of those grey-area ones where the defender has hold of his shirt for 5 yards of the run and you can debate whether it's more important that the foul started outside the box or that it finished just inside it. However, Brazil probably got off lightly because it was definitely a foul and it was denying a goal-scoring opportunity so it should have been a red card in the 3rd minute.
Either way, Brazil were awful and deserved to lose by this scoreline. To not even score in a meaningless play-off match to salvage some pride is just pathetic. |

| As glad as I am with the result, that was a pretty bad game to watch. Some awful officiating, and Brazil was just terrible. Nice that the last Dutchman was able to come in at the end. |

anyways.. it would have been nice to see germany cream the netherlands.. i am looking forward to seeing germany win tomorrow. |

I wouldn't compare this game to our previous defeat.
The match against Germany was brutal, and totally our fault. This time round we should've lost because the Netherlands were the better team, but the score should've been 1-0 not 3-0. It was outside (first goal) and it was offside (second goal). |

Lol, put what to rest? Guzman's knee lining up with the defender's foot is now offside?
If he's in front, it's by a fraction and again, if you were to go two frames back you see him behind or at least level with the defender.
Watch Guzman's run; he's doing tons of tiny steps until the offside line and completely accelerates once he's beaten the trap. Honestly, watch his feet move from before the ball is kicked through the play.
It's negligible at best and again, the linesman is right in front of it less than 4 yards away from Guzman.
I just watched the foul on Robben in slo-mo HD. Yes, he made the made of it, but clear foul and I'm amazed there isn't a red card for obstruction of a player free and clear.
You can see RObben freaking out at the Ref for not showing the red right after - he doesn't even stop having a go when the penalty is awarded!

It's going to be tight; the two best passing teams. If both play like they have been in the last two games, It's going to come down to who makes a mistake first but I think Germany will take it. |
