It's about the mentality and perspective of the country. Lucky things happen in soccer but there is no luck involved in playing well. |
This can be attributed to more then just the Brazilian team. I'm still left wondering what you really believe I lack as far as understanding in Brazilian soccer. |

You lack the vision because you are not from here, not really your fault or anything you can do about it. |

The Brazilian style of things is that there is no luck involved. These people live and breathe soccer, and mediocrity on the national team is not something they enjoy putting up with. Yet you keep praising a forward that's just playing ty. A center forward is supposed to score, what's happening to Fred is not a lack of luck, it's incompetence. I forgot how many balls he lost on a counter attack already. |
Dude!
they were so lucky against chile it wasnt even funny. |

I couldn't watch the game but I was following the text commentary on the BBC and everyone on there was saying the referee was refusing to show a yellow card when Brazil were fouling James Rodriguez at every opportunity. |
Refereeing was disastrous yesterday. He should've carded us, he should've carded them, he should've carded himself even...
The referee was equally bad to both teams, actually :( |

| You two are either idiots and immensely lack reading comprehension or all this Portuguese is taking a toll on my English. You guys really have not a clue as to what I'm saying. |

Nice. Now you've resorted to childish name calling. What is your problem? We're all in here having good soccer discussion and you come strolling in on your high horse acting like you know everything because you were born in Brazil and that gives you some sort of inherent knowledge on the sport and team. Nevermind the fact that I'm married to a Brazilian, consider Brazil a second home of mine, and watch and follow the league very closely (not to mention have been to a couple of soccer games there; was at the Maracana last year for Fluminense x Bahia). Unfortunately, the only thing missing is the magic Brazilian pixie dust that is sprinkled on you when you're born that gives you all knowledge of the sport there.
Give me a break. |

Also, it seems Brazil were getting help from more than just the referee:

Good find. Now I understand why this guy was playing as if he had springs & wings. |
