Indeed. That was shameful.
And aaaawww, man, offside!? This would've been a great first Algerian goal :( |

They're way better than Germany right now, I can only hope they'll keep the pace until the very end!
Go ALGERIA! |

| Algeria are playing much like Uruguay did against England: pressing aggressively in the middle and preventing any of the German midfielders from turning when they receive the ball from the centre backs. Main difference is the Germans are a lot calmer and more technical than we were, and they're already starting to take the sting out of the game. It takes a lot of energy to press like the Algerians are, and if Germany can continue to dominate possession the Algerians will tire in the second half. They really need to score a goal while they're still on top of the game. |

This is the only match I care about. I hope they win.
Keep in mind most of them are fasting since it's Ramadan. Hopefully that won't affect their performance. |

I'm in full agreement with you, Sys.

Not all of them, apparently.
I wish they were playing further North so the weather could help them out. But, let's see what the 2nd half will be like.

That's why I said most of them. :P
I'm not watching the game but from what I heard, they're playing brilliantly. I really hope they crush the Germans, they've been waiting 32 years for this moment. |

Oh, sorry, it's just that I heard most of them were delaying thefasting, because of the decision by Algeria's High Islamic Council... but you're right, I shouldn't have corrected that bit :p
And, yes, they're brilliant. I'm yelling at the TV more than when Brazil are playing, hehe. |

| It's not possible. There are far more than just 11 Algerians playing! :wtf: |

Schurrle's starting to cause real problems now. He's getting in behind the defence which Goetz wasn't really doing. I wouldn't be surprised if Khedera comes on for Schweinsteiger before much longer.
EDIT: Heh, he is on but that injury means the two play together in midfield. This has 1-0 written all over it - either an Algerian long ball gets past the ponderous German defence or the Germans finally play the killer pass and Schurrle slots one. |

You probably never saw this one, much better.
He was lucky, he couldn't play for 'just' 6 weeks as a result:
