| Yeah, I could imagine the sound being better... Just hope that AC unit doesn't break. That would really suck. |

So, basically, it will most likely be PVD downstairs, with Drumcode upstairs, and Toolroom on the terrace. Right? That means they will sell three seperate tickets with at least one "all access" or "combo" ticket, that will most likely cost one arm and one leg......
|
I do not know what everyone is complaining about. Bottom line this lineup is better than last year, which was PVD downstairs and Morillo upstairs. Here you get 3 diverse parties in one club (assuming PVD plays), and they will have a combo ticket for the entire club.
And common sense is that they will sell 1 ticket for the upstairs (loft + terrace), as you cannot seperate the 2 as they share restrooms, so you cannot exclude terrace peeps from the loft. |

i know they made some changes over a year ago due to the sound issues. have not heard about a complete enclosure and IMO that would kill the terrace if it was true.... |
I was there this weekend & it did not kill anything IMO. In fact, during the summer months that terrace is a sauna & unbearable, which the AC helps resolve. Moreover they now have the music waaaaay louder on the terrace. So they just have to keep the AC in good working order & this is a win-win situation |

I was there last weekend & it's 100% true. I bet 95% of people there did not even notice it. |

My complaint is that I really wanted Drumcode on the Terrace. I don't care about PVD or Toolroom. They are totally different sounds so it is not appealing to have 3 parties for 1 price.
We all had hope on the rumor and now it didn't happen.
I am in Miami - I like to be outside and I HATE how you can smoke in clubs.
I just hope Paul Ritch is added to another night since resting on Friday night might be the smarter move any way. |

You asked why we were complaing.
Not asking them to. Just expressing why we are not as happy with the techno loft as I would have been with the Terrace. |

I, for one, wasn't complaining about the lineups. That's all a matter of taste. I enjoyed Benassi, Morillo, and company last year. I know a lot of people who wanted it to stay Sander K every year. I actually like the variety of Toolroom and Drumcode upstairs. Toolroom especially can be a snoozefest at times, but if they hit their potential, the terrace will be rocking. I'm not a fan of having two parties upstairs right next to each other, but whatever. What I was complaining about is that there is now more reason to jack up prices for the club. With three parties instead of two, I imagine the combo tickets are going to be pretty high. This is just speculation, of course, but I'm basing it on fairly high prices from years past. No matter, though, because I've already decided that unless something spectacular comes up, I will once again be doing the PVD (b4 midnight) combo and will enjoy myself immensely that evening/morning. :tongue2
So, I suppose I am part of the problem that I am complaining about.
F*ck me. |
