anybody who likes pvd now has no idea where the guy came from and how he used to play back in the day. 1998-2002 pvd was on ing fire. thats the pvd i fell in love with.
sorry to spam my own youtube videos... but check this out... this is the real pvd. and if he were to ever play like this again i would gladly pay a load more money than what the current cost of a show is.
the thing that pisses me off about pvd is he actually started his wmc set last year off with such high energy but really lost it after the first hour and started playing soft .
instead he plays like this...
and yes i realize this is how most djs end up... it just sucks because pvd used to be so hardcore. now hes not happy unless hes signing vocals or doing the air piano in the booth. hes turned into a fruit. and no one can convince me otherwise. yes he still has the potential which why every now and then i do still go see him, its just for this show im hating on him because both times i saw him in 2009 at space, he sucked ass with too much soft vocal emo .
watch that mayday video though. its 5 parts, 30 mins total. totally insane. :D

I still can't get over that he thinks PvD 4th of July 2004 was bad lol.
20 hours before the man played to a crowd of THOUSANDSSSSSSSSS in Sensation White - back when it used to be good lol. He got on a damn plane - made it to miami by 7 pm to play for US for FREE! and he encored with Mindcircus. GET OUTTA HERE! insane!
That's when PvD had heart. The guy would play in NY summerstage in the afternoon and fly to Space to play in Miami at night. Old PvD ftw!

some people thought nov05 sucked. i dunno how the . i couldnt id the entire night and it was all bang. no fluff at all. only the last 30 mins when he did pvd hour.

LOL, I remember being at the 4th of July with some good company, but I guess I didn't like the trance he was playing at the time so I had a coke and the november 2004 set didn't do it for me. Also, 2008 is legendary because that set had so many badass trance songs that I can only list a couple, trance music was pretty good that year:

Flo - Those people who think that night suck - have no cred to me. Still to this day when I hang with FLTA's - almost always - that night is brought up.
FFS.. PvD was smiling that night - we were freaked out by that!
Alvaro - You know I got love for you but maybe it's because you were just getting into the scene - but that 2004 4th of July set was not bad - at all. Maybe you didn't know those tunes back then but they were pretty massive - especially for "Miami standards"

Was that for Novemeber or June? I know I was there for 1 PvD night at Space in 2008. That night was fun - I remember he played New York City and it was my first time hearing it live.
