I've seen him spin a couple times in the last couple of weeks in LA, he actually plays good Laidback Luke style house music. |

This not being on the terrace takes out any enthusiasm I had for this party. |
Ill have to go ahead and agree with everyone.. Although the lineup Drumcode is insane I will pass on the Loft and sleep to save my energy for Get Lost...
There is nothing wrong with the loft.. and Im sure Toolroom will kill it on the terrace.. but compared to Thursday night there is no real comparison.. This is the same argument for Sunday Night, which I would love to see CLINK showcase but ill pass on the Sleaze fest of Cedric Gervais and friends..
Also, PVD is not yet confirmed for Mainroom.. We don't even know if he will be at WMC at all this year...
As for the terrace goes, if you have never been to the terrace then you shouldn't make any comments because you have no idea what it looks like.. I HIGHLY doubt the addition of plexiglass around the small edge between the canopy and walls will make a huge difference.. If anything it will make it better because they can turn up the sound and run the a/c during the summer months when it is hot as hell... As AV1 said.. there is no visible difference... I will make my official judgement after the Crosstown Rebels festivities this weekend...
So.. everyone stop bitching and get back to announcing awesome events... okay? :tongue2 |

You asked why we were complaing.
Not asking them to. Just expressing why we are not as happy with the techno loft as I would have been with the Terrace. |
No problem & I was just messing with U. Luckily with WMC there are enough parties that we all have many other choices if we do not like a particular venue, lineup or setup. I am sure the Beyer party will be good regardless of the room @ Space it's in, and that most of those DJs will make appearances elsewhere @ WMC |

Hope its at a packed event and not an akward one like Wetgrooves from 2 years ago or so
And hope its a good set. Steak and Eggs - the new single - puts me to sleep. Havent heard the new cd yet but hope its harder than that. |

I, for one, wasn't complaining about the lineups. That's all a matter of taste. I enjoyed Benassi, Morillo, and company last year. I know a lot of people who wanted it to stay Sander K every year. I actually like the variety of Toolroom and Drumcode upstairs. Toolroom especially can be a snoozefest at times, but if they hit their potential, the terrace will be rocking. I'm not a fan of having two parties upstairs right next to each other, but whatever. What I was complaining about is that there is now more reason to jack up prices for the club. With three parties instead of two, I imagine the combo tickets are going to be pretty high. This is just speculation, of course, but I'm basing it on fairly high prices from years past. No matter, though, because I've already decided that unless something spectacular comes up, I will once again be doing the PVD (b4 midnight) combo and will enjoy myself immensely that evening/morning. :tongue2
So, I suppose I am part of the problem that I am complaining about.
F*ck me. |
Do not take my post the wrong way. I just felt it was necessary to clear up that Space would almost certainly not be charging a seperate cover for each of the 3 rooms, as upstairs they cannot seperate the 2. Moreover this lineup (if PVD is in) blows away last year's Friday lineup IMO, and people were exagerrating as if the terrace had been demolished & turned into an aluminum tool shed.
Bottom line if they add PVD I'll be right there with you on Friday, and it will be one of the best parties of WMC |

Someone @ Space told me that by Thursday all the parties should be announced, hence my prior post. Some came out today so he was at least partly right, we'll see if they announce the rest tomorrow or not |

| haha, av1, I wasn't even really thinking about your post after I got going. I was just saying that people like me are the problem because I continue to support space for some reason, even though prices keep going up and lineups seem to keep going down. :( |
