i have to respectfully disagree.....last years viva vs. cadenza party at space terrace was by far, musically for me, the best party at wmc and still my favorite lawler and luciano sets that i saw in 2009. i mean if you like that genre :)

one good party still doesnt save the weeks lineup though. especially when space is marketing themselves to be gods gift to wmc.

i just hate how space brings in one dj or one show and still stays on top of the game. i know all the business aspects of why lp does the way he does, but thats not the point im trying to make here. ANY other ing club in a big city, like vanguard in la, or guvernment in toronto, or WHATEVER WHEREVER, brings in top of the line variety almost EVERY ing week. and if those cities hosted wmc, wmc would be WAY better than what it is today. thats my whole point. space sucks ass because they have the ability to be the best and they ing dont even care. this boris party during wmc is a perfect example. for me its like a big middle finger to every person that ever supported space. so even if they do come out with one decent party again, it still doesnt take the stink of the other parties away.

i dunno sorry for the rant... and im glad you had fun at that party last year... but my god space is just such a piece of .

well space remains on top b/c they bring mainstream music. most of the miami crowd is there for the scenery anyway. house music @ space is the equivalent of top 40 anywhere else. sheep will be sheep.

only place with potential? in what way? pawn shop had gobs more character. electric pickle is doing great lineups. and the one off parties are always the way to go @ wmc. space.

pawn shop was for hobos dude. i felt like i was hanging out at a greyhound bus station there. and not only because they had the school bus there. electric pickle i dunno about so yea i dunno.

but yea, you're right. space. thats why i only went there twice all of 2009. and both shows sucked. the days of trying to limit yourself to space twice a month are long over. im just gonna save my money and go back to ibiza.

I will tell you this is the exact problem in NY. These club owners do not care on bit about good music. They care about their revenue. I get it, they are running a business. They don't see that switching their featured product is going to hurt them in the long run. Unfortunately for us, Boris/Danny Tenaglia/Jonathan Peters type parties bring a lot of bar sales, more than any other EDM crowd. If they valued their business and wanted to keep exclusivity, they would try to pull dream line ups. I think Space is nearing it's end, the partner clubs are gone, they are losing cred. Too bad because I have had a lot of great nights there for WMC.

That was 2004, thought it was 2005? Is it me or do some years mesh into one?
