DJmag Recession Sessions 2
@ The Pool @ The Shelborne Beach Resort | Miami Beach, FL
TBA
couldnt pass it up being only 10 bucks with only a $2 service fee so = $12 and I did Will call for it.
Also couldnt pass up
Sunday, March 28, 2010
Little Mountain with Sander
@ Shine @ The Shelborne | Miami Beach, FL
it was only $15 with a $2.95 service fee, I did Store pickup for that one.
It almost seemed like the prices dropped on both of those, I thought I remember seeing like $15 and $20 for those two. |

Schedule so far:
Wed: Arrive MIA at 8am, take bus to hotel and drop off bags around 10am and find something to eat most likely.
Dj mag pool party 12 noon - 10:30pm at Shelborne
Thur: Was thinking Juicy Beach at Nikki Beach but $60 bucks for ticket then $8 service charge, not to sure.
Fri: Ultra 4pm-12midnight, One night only am party at Karu&Y get there around 10pm-early morning???
Sat: Ultra 12-12, night open, dont want to go right to SSFD but could. SSFD is 10pm sat-10pm sunday
Sun: SSFD at Ice Palace sometime around 12noon-10pm then to Sander K at Shine 10pm-5am
Mon: take bus back to MIA at around 9am get there by 10am, flight at 12pm
I still want to make time to eat plenty (try different places) and to even workout believe it or not (lifting weights gives me energy even if its only 30-45 minutes), and want to try and sleep close to 5-6 hours a day. |

both 2008 at pawn shop and last years at ice palace were amazing in their own special way.
the feel of this party though is not to be compared to a SOBE pool party. in fact it is meant to be the opposite. it's dirty, dark, lots of ugly, grungy, wasted tired people, the spot isn't supposed to be pretty, it's meant to feel as the music does, dark techno. and that is the feel you get and i love it :) maybe b/c i spend so much time at dark, warehouse undergrounds out here in LA is why i love this party or the fact that they supply you with some of the best techno djs around for 24 hours but i will never miss it again as long as i go to WMC.
if you are looking for fluff and pretty people and a nice lounge of a club then yes you might be disappointed but most that go to this party know exactly what they are getting into and willingly go to get their minds blown :) just my 2 cents on the best party at wmc
btw: not saying TA's are ugly, just an adjective to get in your mind the look of people after partying another 24 hours after being in miami for several days partying :) |
excellent comparison for explanation of SSFD, for those of you considering it or who are apprehensive about going. |

make sure you understand that theres NO WAY you'll be able to do all of that. plan for it okay, but dont get upset if you end up sleeping through lets say saturdays ultra. its bound to happen the way you're stacking things up. good luck though. :)
also understand that all the planning in the world isnt going to matter much the week of. have an idea of what you want to do thats good, but always changes. as of now theres only what maybe 10% of all the weeks parties announced. i bet when we get around to 75% of the parties announced your plans will look completely different. and then the week of conference with all the last minute parties, will change that much more. i guess my main point is, dont over plan it to the point where you forget to actually have fun. sounds stupid but ive seen it happen. |
