Do you know who runs the shuttle? my buddy and I flew into FLL last year but split a $75 cab ride to SoBe. We are +1 this year on our flight so it wouldnt be as bad but a shuttle would be better than a cab for sure. |
You can also take the train from FL airport to Mia airport, then the 150 bus route will take you fr the airport to sobe if your really looking to go cheap. Whole thing less then $6 pp. |

Yeah not many weeks left and I think the main thread should be out by now its past mid-Jan. I wanted to make a thread for the parties I Am attending to see who else is going one thread per party. Also a bus route thread would be nice to help others as well. A thread for general questions like food and drink also, etc... Times running out....
Also I cant even search this specific thread because its "Temporarily Disabled" as well. |
party, public transportation, food and drink threads are all there every year. this year wont be any different. everything will have all the info they need. :) just as soon as the wmc subforum opens of course.

Keep in mind there is a new bus route from MIA to SoBe for just $2
"Route 150 - Airport-Beach Express (NEW)
A new express route will start service from the Miami International Airport Terminal to South Miami Beach via 41 Street and Collins Avenue with a stop at the Earlington Heights Station. This new route is being funded by a grant from the Federal Transit Administration. The Route 150 Express will make limited stops in Miami Beach at the following locations: 41 Street/Alton Road, 41 Street/ Sheridan, all stops on Collins and Indian Creek between 41 and 17 streets, Collins/17 Street, Collins/16 Street, Washington/Lincoln, 17 Street/Convention Center Drive, and 19 Street/Meridian.
The Route 150 will operate every 30 minutes from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., seven days a week." |
im also gonna add this info as well as update the entire public transportation thread just as soon as the subforum opens. there will be no lack of information for our out of towners. ;)

not entirely true. Usaully MIA is cheaper. But I got my tickets cheaper flying into FLL this time. I think MIA is getting kinda sold out at the moment.
If you are coming from over Europe def try FLL. My ticket was about $150 cheaper. |
of course it never hurts to check both airports. but the way it works in general is international = MIA and domestic = FLL. thats all i was saying. wasnt trying to get people to not check out all available options or anything.

this is true. although i dont recommend it. it takes entirely too long and who really wants to figure out a foreign cities public transportation after an 8 hour flight? public transportation is fine when you're only going from south beach to downtown miami or something like that, but for longer distances i think a shuttle bus it the way to go. |

Flights from the UK booked and paid for. Get in!
£430 in the end, which is something I'm not going to cry about.
Getting quite excited now :D |

Never knew there was a train from FLL to MIA airports. Could you provide some more info please as I may want to do that to leave back to FLL to kill some time on Monday. |
