But good idea to buy the badge or tickets now though right? Save some $$$ at least. |
Depends on what your plans are. To me the badge is a waste. Some parties give you reduced admission & some free admission. To soon to know what benefits you will have.

cancel the working out part! u will have enough of that at the parties! 3500 collins, is not techinically south beach, tho its still within reasonable walking distance...1-2 miles......if u plan to attend the conference, buy the badge now and that includes admission to ultra, if not, dont bother and just buy the Ultra tickets now before they go up in price |
Agreed, re-think 35th Street. Thats the quiet spot on the beach. There are still good hotels available on South Beach with comperable prices to what you paid. As far as the badge goes, thats up to you. There will be tons of events for badge members. |

IMO....You can save alot of money buy buying advanced tickets. Like when they first go on sale. Once the official WMC board opens you will see everyone will start posting events, and they usually contain links to the sites so you can buy tickets in advance. I know some of us are very selective and with so many events going on in such a short time, you are going to want to jump on those advanced tickets etc. I saved a good amount last year by doing this. |

thanks for the tips.
I wasnt going or planning on going to any actually meetings or conferences, just some parties.
I still would like to use a gym for some weights it actually gives me more energy, I definitely wont need any cardio though.
so 35th is kinda high up there then?, I can find others closer to 20th and lower maybe. according to the map it didnt seem to be in the north maimi yet.
I think just buying the UMF tickets (thats the whole reason I wanted to go) then I heard about the WMC and that goes on all week for tons of parties. Wed-Sun isnt long to do alot but I will make a nice mix of stuff to do.
So probably just buy the UMF tickets now, and then buy the online tickets to the select parties I want to go to, makes sense that way I can really stick to the plans. |

ive always been of the opinion that unless you're here to network or learn/teach at the workshops and crap that the badge really isnt worth it. if you go out and party every night during wmc then you're really not going to make it to most of the workshops anyway so therefore it becomes pointless. plus the discount it gets you on the club nights isnt all that great. its all smaller parties that are cheap to begin with. all the big nights it doesnt work for. |

yeah and even the somewhat bigger stuff it gives you a discount off the door price(depending on who is hosting the party)...which if you bought the tickets ahead of time to begin with you are paying the same, if not more in some cases. WMC's official "The List" page on their site will list the prices of events current ticket prices and say 1/2 off(with badge). but as everything dwindles closer and prices go up they update the prices on that page so it's deceiving sometimes. They actually only give you half off door price which is already hiked up. who knows how much that price will be depending on what it is you're going to see. in some cases i'm sure it might be cheaper for the shows...but more times than not it isn't. unless you're gonna wing the the whole week you prob. won't want it...but everyones different.
Like i've said earlier...I bought the badge on its 2nd phase of pricing this year and we pretty much evened out in the end we did hit a few things we weren't planning on going to just to make use of it like some tikki boat party on tuesday
needless to say we aren't getting it for next year. we also aren't planning on hitting ultra either as I know that factors into some peoples decisions on getting a badge |
