I really like the info for the a new bus route from MIA to SoBe
"Route 150 - Airport-Beach Express (NEW)
A new express route will start service from the Miami International Airport Terminal to South Miami Beach via 41 Street and Collins Avenue with a stop at the Earlington Heights Station. This new route is being funded by a grant from the Federal Transit Administration. The Route 150 Express will make limited stops in Miami Beach at the following locations: 41 Street/Alton Road, 41 Street/ Sheridan, all stops on Collins and Indian Creek between 41 and 17 streets, Collins/17 Street, Collins/16 Street, Washington/Lincoln, 17 Street/Convention Center Drive, and 19 Street/Meridian.
The Route 150 will operate every 30 minutes from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., seven days a week.
Bus-to-bus transfers are FREE with the Easy Card and Easy Ticket "
I plan to buy this:
"The 7-Day Pass offers an easy and inexpensive way for visitors to discover Greater Miami and the Beaches. The pass gives you seven consecutive days of unlimited rides on Metrobus and Metrorail. Buy the $26 transit pass online or at any Metrorail station." |

Yeah I like the fact about that bus route, definitely going to buy this pass to save me some money.
I only plan to use taxis very late at night to get to my room quickly. |

yea i was wondering about travel and such
i have a few questions
i will be staying at 21st and collins
how do most of you guys usually travel, to say down to the other pool parties and other stuff in south beach? bus,taxi,walk?
and say you plan on goin to downtown miami at night like 10ish
how do you guys usually get there? and how long does it usually take?

I usually ride the bus when I'm going by myself to the clubs from SoBe to DT. Since I stay in the strip, either walk or take the bus depending on distance. Take cab when going to DT with friends. 10-15 minutes on bus gets you from SoBe to DT. Its less than 2 bucks each way so way cheaper than cab, unless you have a group that wants to split cab to save on time... |

I've stayed in west Miami the past 2 years. I take the bus around noonish to get to south beach, for pool parties. Then if I can stand it, I take it back at around 9 so I can get ready for the night. Then cab to and fro the clubs.
cabs are like 30-40$ each way from my friends place. Take like 30+ minutes to arrive when i'm leaving.
IMO it's pointless to try to party hop during the day UNLESS they are all free parties / small ones.
The bigger parties have massive lines an hour or two after the first djs come on. Even if you have tickets you have to wait in line. Don't try to be overly ambitious. It sucks having to pick between some of your favorite djs, but it sucks a whole lot more waiting outside of the venue. Pick what place has the best lineup for you and arrive early. |

oooh and this year I hope to see Roger Shah spin - not party!! I saw him twice during wmc I was like "OMG PURPLE MOOD - CHINESE THEATER *jizzz*" . ok not really - but it probably came out that way. :haha: |
