he's getting old...period. hard work is done, all he has to do is show up and wave his arms and drop a few trance bombs...then the melodic symphony crap...wave some arms some more.
its a shame trance became so repetitive...the formula is the same with all the big trance DJs now. started with oakenfold, pvd, tiesto....and now armin...
markus and above and beyond are about the only ones still holding on. |

| Well the mainstream trance is repetitive now because of the proggy movement. But people like Tyas for example are still melody based and with a hard backing. Proggy ruined trance in my opinion |

I agree =\, AvB is getting cheese-ball for sure. Add j00f to the hold outs though, that guy will never give in to the cheese! Every year i delude myself into thinking he will do WMC, his essential mix from a couple weeks ago was down right insane. If that dusk till doorn party happens that would be sick for sure. |

| William(drEamer) hit it on the nose. It makes perfect sense to hold out on an appearence until ASoT. People will, and do, travel from all over to see Armin, but not as many would do so if they just saw him a few days before at an Armada event in Miami. By not showing up anywhere during WMC (outside of Ultra), he guarantees more demand for his shows in NYC and Toronto. |

thats just dumb logic though...so many more people who would have gone to see Armin and put money in his pocket are gonna be in Miami for WMC week...and the haaaardcore fans would still go to ASOT anyway, but i don't see the people who are just casually into Armin go out of their way to hit ASOT after WMC.
i vote that he's just getting old and doesn't feel like he has to do as many shows anymore. |
