What I understand is that you are butt hurt over some random persons opinion, one that isn't even specifically based on you most of the time.

You enter into political debate in here and expect to be treated fairly, or even nicely? This is the COR ffs. When did people start becoming thin skinned little nancy boys? You, like everyone else should have just come back with the same stupid . I call you a nazi, you call me ??? I dont know.

I say something about your business you say "at least I have a business" or something equally ty.

The fact that you get so angry almost leads me to believe that there are grains of truth to what I say to you. That is the scary part.

You direct it at me quite often actually, and have for a long period of time... and frankly I'm tired of your bull. It's a simple matter of respect, and I'm fed up with your constant lack of it.

Yes- it's called "mutual respect despite opposing viewpoints". Granted it gets ugly sometimes between myself and others, but in the end, everyone else around here hugs it out. You choose to amp it up to new levels each time. It's your condescension and arrogance that is especially pervasive... and what makes it worse is you have no remarkable real world experience, no noteworthy education, nor can you speak of any tangible benefit you've contributed to society. Yet you ing lecture your elders with a forked tongue as if you're the enlightened one and they're the peons. You think I only speak for myself right now? Wake the up. You're probably the most despised person on this board.

I don't recall saying specifically that, although would you blame me if I did? I've run a successful business from scratch for almost 9 years, and I'm supposed to take advice from a basement dwelling, G.E.D. holder with scant work experience?

No... I'm just a guy who refuses to put up with your ing bull anymore. I'm not the first and I guarantee I won't be the last.

My boss straight flipped out on my friend and I at work today about the Mosque. I was talking to my friend about how there are protests all across America against Mosques, not just this one that is "on holy ground."

He came over and started talking about how a Mosque was something that Muslims built when they conquered a land and all this ignorant .

And here's the intellectual inconsistency from your end. Although I have to admit that there's more to like about your arguments than JW's, I don't get bothered by anything negative anyone has to say towards me if I don't respect them or their opinion enough to be bothered with it. You seem to be bothered a great deal by someone you have, on the surface, very little respect for.

I see what you're saying, but I made that comment based on actual conversations with other TA's, and just general observation over time. I can't think of another TA that so many others dislike. As for me, yeah I'm bothered by it because everyone around here treats each other with mutual respect 99% of the time... and after never saying a negative word to him, without ever even talking directly with him he decided to take aim at me and get personal about it, turning virtually every comment or topic from me into a "kevin is a racist, dumb, selfish, nazi, bigot, uninformed, mentally challenged" themed discussion. It's ing annoying man... he has no common decency. So what if he's someone on an internet forum?

What's so ignorant about that? You think the Ground Zero Mosque is really just a shining beacon of liberal values bursting through the overcast skies of American intolerance? If they're all about being sensitive and building bridges, why won't they even consider moving it elsewhere? They can talk about "outreach" all they want but it's a purposeful and deliberate provocation... lol for christ's sake how long are we going to close our eyes about that ?

So you're saying you believe that Muslims build Mosque's after they conquer a land?

And also, how is it a purposeful and deliberate provocation? It's basically a frickin' YMCA.

What do they build... churches? Synagogues? Look at Turkey now compared to 1000 years ago when it was the center of the Christian world. Did you watch 60 Minutes last week about the remaining Christian Orthodox population being squeezed out? And hello... Cordoba... Spain... the Christian city conquered in 711 by Muslims where the now famous Cordoba Mosque rests as its conquering symbol (which is partly build with materials of a Christian church that was previously in that space). Dude, come on, of course it's a symbol victory- right where their biggest attack on America took place. Political correctness is blinding people.

Yeah... a YMCA where woman are only allowed to sit in the back of the room. Don't take my word for it... listen to some Muslims:

We Muslims know the Ground Zero mosque is meant to be a deliberate provocation:
By Raheel Raza and Tarek Fatah
quote:
New York currently boasts at least 30 mosques so it's not as if there is pressing need to find space for worshippers. The fact we Muslims know the idea behind the Ground Zero mosque is meant to be a deliberate provocation to thumb our noses at the infidel. The proposal has been made in bad faith and in Islamic parlance, such an act is referred to as "Fitna," meaning "mischief-making" that is clearly forbidden in the Koran.

The Koran commands Muslims to, "Be considerate when you debate with the People of the Book" -- i.e., Jews and Christians. Building an exclusive place of worship for Muslims at the place where Muslims killed thousands of New Yorkers is not being considerate or sensitive, it is undoubtedly an act of "fitna"

So what gives Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf of the "Cordoba Initiative" and his cohorts the misplaced idea that they will increase tolerance for Muslims by brazenly displaying their own intolerance in this case?

Do they not understand that building a mosque at Ground Zero is equivalent to permitting a Serbian Orthodox church near the killing fields of Srebrenica where 8,000 Muslim men and boys were slaughtered?

If Rauf is serious about building bridges, then he could have dedicated space in this so-called community centre to a church and synagogue, but he did not. We passed on this message to him through a mutual Saudi friend, but received no answer. He could have proposed a memorial to the 9/11 dead with a denouncement of the doctrine of armed jihad, but he chose not to.

Let's not forget that a mosque is an exclusive place of worship for Muslims and not an inviting community centre. Most Americans are wary of mosques due to the hard core rhetoric that is used in pulpits. And rightly so. As Muslims we are dismayed that our co-religionists have such little consideration for their fellow citizens and wish to rub salt in their wounds and pretend they are applying a balm to sooth the pain.
