Thinking that the white guy who stabbed a Muslim cabbie is representative of all anti-mosque Americans = stupid.

Thinking that 9/11 hijackers are representative of all Muslims in the world = same damn thing.

Morans.

I think at this point the picture is self-evident.

How else are you supposed to read this?

Tim Pawlenty:
"I'm strongly opposed to the idea of putting a mosque anywhere near Ground Zero-I think it's inappropriate," he said. "I believe that 3,000 of our fellow innocent citizens were killed in that area, and some ways from a patriotic standpoint, it's hallowed ground, it's sacred ground, and we should respect that. We shouldn't have images or activities that degrade or disrespect that in any way."

Pam Geller (the original opposition to the Cordoba project), when asked why strip clubs at Ground Zero are ok, but not an Islamic community center:
"Strip clubs didn't bring down the towers. It's faulty logic," Geller told TPM.

To be true, Palin hasn't been as bad, but even this:
"Ground Zero Mosque supporters: doesn't it stab you in the heart, as it does ours throughout the heartland? Peaceful Muslims, pls refudiate."

Basically draws a mutually exclusive distinction between those that support freedom to practice the Islamic faith near Ground Zero and "peaceful Muslims".

You're really reaching. Asking to respect the sensibilities of the victims and their families at the site of our worst American tragedy, and asking peaceful muslims to speak out if they too oppose this does not translate into the silly assertion that opponents are equating all muslims to the extremist 9/11 hijackers' perspective. Who has said anything to that effect? You're injecting your own perception into those peoples' words.
