umm did you actually click on the think progress link and did you actually read it??

from a think progress update (which was there before your post)

Update Politico's Ben Smith finds that Enright is an employee "Internet media company who had recently spent time with a combat unit in Afghanistan filming military exercises until this past May." He was also a volunteer for Intersections International, an interfaith dialogue group that had recently put out a statement in support of building Park 51.

choke on it

I didn't click on it, I just saw that you linked to that lefty rag. So the dishonesty is really with you then... since you conveniently omitted the most important part of the story. And I wonder why. Choke on it. ;)

well it doesn't matter whether he is a 'lefty' or a right-winger (to me at least). the point is that all this anti-Muslim rhetoric being spewed by YOUR party is bull and needs to stop. man! not everything has to be left vs right....the sooner you get that the better off we'll be

:)

all in all, the media needs to take a step back and start taking itself serious. stuff like "president obama has a deep seated hatred for white people" and "islam caused 911" incites like this. its corroding democracy and whether you admit it or not, the majority (if not all) of incendiary rhetoric is coming from the right..plain and simple.

It's not "anti-muslim rhetoric", it's anti "that" mosque in "that" location given the circumstances. The opposition to building it in that location has risen to 71% now nationally... that is bipartisan opposition.

Islam is an innocent bystander in 9/11 huh? It probably had nothing to do with Nidal Hasan mowing down 12 fellow Army officers while shouting "Alluh Ahkbar" too... or the guy who just tried to blow up Times Square... or the guy who tried to blow up the plane over Detroit on Christmas. These are just whackjobs who are bastardizing a peaceful religion. :p

You're kidding about all the incendiary rhetoric coming from one side though, right? lol... I just watched a video yesterday of a Ground Zero Mosque supporter all up in an 80 year old Jewish man's face at the demonstration telling him he clearly didn't learn his lesson from the Holocaust.
WittyHandle
Can't we agree that there are many individuals on each side who take it way too far and make the group look bad?

The debate is framed in so much bull that sort of interaction was bound to happen, sooner or later. This controversy is another example which proves that all conflict is based in fallacy. Sooner or later, there had to be some reciprocal bull spewed by the other side. I'm not justifying the Jew-lessons remark, but this thread is littered with inaccuracies posted on the anti-mosque side; as there are examples of the same from the media, that they are massively confusing the issue to the point of distorting reality for both sides.

Islam had just as much to do with 11/9 as christianity had to do with the 1996 olympic park bombing or the oklahoma city bombings, yet you dont see the outrage that due to that the construction of churches should be forbidden. In fact this being america im willing to bet that if anyone even dared to bring up banning churches he would be immediately shot.

Also this

And FFS, its not AT ground zero...its 2 blocks away...besides, even i it was. About damn time that something started to build there.
