Well community center doesnt sound that terrifying does it?
A ground zero mosque or terrorists camp resonate much better to the people that youre trying to terrify/enrage. |
Exactly... which is why they call it a "community center". Part of the building is a mosque, but not all 13 floors obviously. Thank a Jewish person or a gay person could go in there? No. Think women aren't forced to sit in the back of the room only? Sounds like a pretty inviting sense of "community" to me! When I'm allowed to visit Mecca without being killed, or I see a Jewish synagogue erected in Iran, then I'll believe in their "sense of community outreach and interfaith understanding". |

So what should we name the place? My vote goes to either Submission, House of Jislam, or Mustache Rides :p |
I like House of Jizlam...It will justify the use of a Turban as a thing to use to wipe their faces after the Mustache Rides....
bwahahahaha.... |

Should have said "in Mecca"... but you get my point. I'm sure the small groups of Jews in places like that feel safe and cozy.

Just watched this... lol. Bloomberg is such a ing douchebag. Questioning the motives of the mosque opponents and insinuating that they're simply "rent-a-mob" types isn't a very smart move for somebody who claims to want to bring people together. He did the same thing after the muslim guy tried to blow up Times Square saying, "It's probably somebody with a political agenda who doesn't like the health care bill"... i.e., right wing tea partier.
And I love the ridiculousness of continually pointing out that there are also "porno shops and fast food places" near ground zero. If the towers were taken down by strippers and hamburger flippers, he might have a point, but otherwise he clearly doesn't get it. |

Actually... in Iran religious minority groups are guarenteed representation in parliment and their religious rights are protected; subsequently, I'm guessing they do feel pretty safe. I'm not trying to be a dick to you Kev but if you're going to use rhetoric to make a point you have to fact check your first.
Alright, I'm done now. |

Actually alot of Jews are from Iran. A buddy of mine goes back every few years & feels no threat there at all. Iran has the second most amount of jews in the middle east behind Israel. |

Dude...its not like ever muslim is a religious fundamentalists and its not like every woman muslim is a ninja. Some are perfectly normal girls. Not every mosque is like walking into bin ladens cave, youre not going to get blown up just because youre a non believer, its the damn hate rhetoric (comming from where now) that makes people think that every muslim is a terrorist, every mosque a training camp and that the whole damn thing its evil to its core. Saying stuff like that is dangerous and quite possibly illegal.
And one more thing. Americans like to think to themselves that they live in the best country in the world. Its certainly what the republicans and conservatives keep saying on tv. Among things you people like to bang your fchest about is that allegedly america is the freest country. Which is why i find it funny when i hear/read comments like "

Or
| quote: | | We'll allow a mosque at ground zero when a christian church will be allowed in saudi arabia |
(dont have source for this one, saw it on tv)
The residents of the allegedly freest country in the world are putting themselves on the same level with most ed up countries in the world. |

Just an FYI... The Vatican is negotiating for the construction of a non-denominational church to be build in Riyadh. My understanding is that it has been agreed to and they are now in the planning stage. This would have been a better retort to Kevin's post about a church in Saudi Arabia. |

We do live in the best country in the world. that's why people come here so their daughters don't have to become whores and in order to support themselves and/or their families. I consider myself a republican because i studied hard in college and work hard at work so I could be couple of levels above the high school drop out who works at the steel factory. why shouldn't i live in a better house and drive a better car and eat at nicer places. It is a free country but only if you follow the rules of our country. if not STAY THE OUT !!!!! |
