that is outdated...by those standards that would mean there are almost none left:p
no one is pure quebecois, and half of the "pure" quebecois that are left live in the saguenay region and are actually from irish descent. Even our pakis speak french at home now:p |

The separatistes don't really have a side of the political spectrum... ideologically, they are all over the map; the only real common thread amongst parti and bloc members is their nationalizm. |

i'm more in favour of a decentralized government to better serve the needs of the individual provinces. I love Canada too, don't get me wrong here, i have no resentment whatsoever and consider myself Canadian as well.
The concept of an immense land mass with huge gaps between populations is a little absurd and way too costly. Every province has different needs, the people have little or nothing in common with people from other provinces, so i think that the provincial governments should be able to have carte blanche to be able to serve their constituents better.

Do we have differences? I mean, I'm happy to eat poutine and punch each other but I'm not sure there are nay disputes to be worked out. |

Carte Blanche is a little far... the end result would be trade restrictions inter-province, dispairity in standards of living, impediment to intrer-province business operations, and decreased mobility of the national citizenry. There has to be some level of uniformity. I do agree; however, that the fact that residual powers under the BNA act fall to the Fed and the Fed's ability to restrict/allow the distribution of tax revenue has resulted in the central government having too much influence over what should be provincial concerns. |

Who cares about the muslims, Sure they breed terrorists but name me a religion which doesnt? Let them have their bull mosque, the christians their bull churches and the jews their bull temples. Who cares? You're going to pick favorites over relgions now based on a minority of delinquints?
what ever happend to innocent until proven guilty? Why don't we just round up all the people who look like muslims and gas them for precaution. That'll solve our economic problems :p |
