Outstanding :haha:

Out of curiosity, I decided to ask Google Trend if this madness has already gone well beyond what we could call "panic". So I entered the following phrases:

Cordoba House, the organisation behind it;
Ground Zero Mosque, which it isn't;
Sparta, because this is madness;
Panic, the variable I want to examine.

Here are the results:

I rest my case.

Well I just don't want another building dedicated to teaching people to hate gays. It's annoying as . This Mosque needs a Muslim gay bar close to it.

Wait a second... So it really isn't a mosque at ground zero like th17ss posted originally?

I think these stories are fabricated by the left wing liberal media.

would be great if they built an actual World Trade Center at Ground Zero before bitching about an Islamic center a few blocks away.

This is just another non-issue distracting people from much, much more important matters in the U.S. and around the world. But real news doesn't sell, right? Only sensationalized bull sells :o (at least in this country)

Whomever owns the property can build whatever they want there, within the limits of the same laws that restrict & protect all property owners in the city. If I have some business to take care of in or around the WTC, this building isn't going to get in my way. Only tourists, the NYPD, & hick protesters will. Typical NY attitude is handling your business every day and not giving a about whatever else. If the unemployment rate wasn't so high there wouldn't be nearly as many people out there making a big deal over this. :o

I care more about no more buildings falling in the city than I do about new ones being built :o

There's another debate, over-inflated with hyperbolic bull. I'm on your side in that one (gay marriage), too, Jake.

Jon Stewart reported, last night, that this guy was a construction worker, actually working at the real ground zero.

‘Are You Muslim?’: Passenger Stabs NYC Muslim Cab Driver

NY1 reports today of a likely hate crime in New York City, which has been the site of an ugly, emotional debate over the proposed Park 51 Islamic community center near the site of Ground Zero. The news station reports that a cab driver was attacked by a young man who appears to have assaulted him due to his Islamic faith. The man reportedly asked the driver if he was Muslim, and when he confirmed that he was, the young man attacked the driver, slashing him “in the throat, arm and lip” with a knife:

A city cab driver is in the hospital after being stabbed by a passenger who allegedly asked if he was Muslim, police tell NY1. Investigators with the New York City Police Department say it all began Monday night when a 21-year-old man hailed a cab at 24th Street and Second Avenue in Manhattan.

Police say the passenger asked the driver, “Are you Muslim?” When the driver said yes the passenger pulled a knife and slashed him in the throat, arm and lip.

Both the driver and the alleged attacker are currently hospitalized in Bellevue Hospital. The first casualty of the “Ground Zero mosque.”

Conveniently left out by "Think Progress'" slanted report: The man that attacked the taxi driver is a Ground Zero Mosque supporting, Left wing art student!

Michael Enright, is — according to his Facebook profile and the website of the left-leaning media organization Intersections International — a student at the School of Visual Arts and a volunteer for Intersections, which recently produced a statement of support for the Park51 project and is funded by the mainstream, liberal Collegiate Church of New York.

Oh the irony. Someone working towards the cause of "interfaith dialogue" stabbed the out of a cab driver because he was Muslim. B...b...b... but watch out for those crazy right wingers! They hate Muslims! :stongue:

Comrade Stalin
I hope they do build whatever this Islamic organization wants to build. Innocent Muslims died on 9/11 too.

Let me just mention this before you invoke a left wing media conspiracy. ;)

The dear leader of all libtards aka Keith Olberman did mention that inconvenient facts but also spent several minutes talking to some reporter (who was imo quite hot...ah, heres her pic ) who kind off was in correspondence with him (about his dirty liberal commie movie about the troubles of us soldiers in afghanistan ;) )

EDIT: just read on the "blogosphere" (god i hate that word), that Keith is allegedly hitting that. Props.
