I wouldn't have heard of this mosque if you hadn't made this thread. You see, I'm not American and so I don't know what the left wing American media has to say. Not that makes the slightest bit of difference to my point. I wanted to hear some genuine proof that the builders of this mosque should be held accountable for the actions of Al Qaeda, not nonsense appeals to authority, false comparisons to Nazis, invalid generalisations and all the other bunk arguments you posted.

In general, there is no left wing media, in America. The two bastions on the left, in terms of broadcast media, are Democracy Now - a news broadcast relegated to public access channels, but still syndicated nationally, and the more centrist leaning National Public Radio, which truthfully tends to cover news from a Democratic Party bias but still functions to serve more in-depth coverage than all the other networks, combined. There is no shortage of magazines which pander to either the right or the left.

The "left-wing" mythology is perpetuated by the right to discredit any story which doesn't confirm their point of view. In saying CNN, or any other channel than FOX, is a left-leaning organization, they can diminish or deny the validity of a story told with "quasi" neutrality. The truth is that CNN doesn't report on a story substantially enough to be leaning in any particular direction. The typical story, as told by CNN, tends to consist of a superficial back-ground regarding a topic to be discussed by both left and right-wing pundits.

They rarely, if ever, fact check so basically no useful information, other than a search topic to plug in to Google and/or Bing, is ever put forth. It's just a very superficial expose' followed up with either speculation, from often remotely qualified analysts, or conjecture, from asinine pundits.

The next time you're listening to or watching BBC News, turn the radio or television off thirty seconds into the story they've been teasing in their headline, then go and talk to the two most obdurate, passive-aggressive, and obnoxious people you can find to speak to about the topic you've just heard about - and you'll be getting the CNN version.

The "Left Wing Media" is the big lie the republican party has been using for the last 20 years to discredit anything they disagree with and to get away with . Look at the coverage of the Clinton impeachment. Where was the left wing media then?

The idea of a "vast right wing conspiracy" is far more palatable.

I'm pretty central, maybe a bit left, but I totally agree the that media is leftist. Not too hard, but it's definitely there.

I think you also might be a bit retarded too.

CNN has no bias, its pretty lame in fact. MSNBC is as bias as Fox News is. They are pretty equal. Talk radio is very right most of the time, and NPR is to the left (but pretty centrist over all).

To say that the media as a whole is to the left is insane.
