agreed. thanks graham

I am shocked (and disgusted) on how outraged some of you are about the Occupy Movement. Of ALL the things going on in the world right now, THIS is what makes your blood boil?!?!

If you are still talking about it, the movement hasn't died. The most visible portion of the movement (protests) are still going, but some how you are proclaiming it dead?

If the city has to forcibly remove people, it isn't dead.

I'm amazed at how short sighted some of you are. The problems being discussed started HUNDREDS to thousands of years ago. You think a few months of protesting is going to change everything right away? These are not new problems, humans have been battling inequality since we learned how to differentiate one another.

With Jim flaherty, and Mark Carney and Harper all taking enough notice to comment on the protests, the 'movement' has already made some very good headway.

The idea has been planted, you cannot kill it with overpresumptuous articles.

Thank you Andrea. What's with all the constant complaining here? Why is it so difficult for some people to show compassion? Why so many hearts made of coal? Empathy people, empathy...

compassion for what? I'm still trying to figure out what the Occupy movements are about.

I'll feel some compassion for this movement once they can come up with an effective message, and aren't doing stupid things (it's always the few that ruins things for everyone)

Hacker group Anonymous threatens cyber attack if city evicts Occupy Toronto

quote:

A hacker group is standing up for Occupy Toronto protesters, threatening to unleash a cyber attack on the city if it interferes with the month-long demonstration.

In a video released on YouTube (see below), the group Anonymous said Toronto will be “removed from the Internet” unless the city promises to leave the protesters alone.

Mayor Rob Ford asked the occupiers this week to dismantle their tent city in St. James Park.

The mayor's office reaffirmed his position Saturday when asked about the hackers' warning.

“The mayor and city manager have been very clear over the past week. It's time this came to a peaceful conclusion,” the statement read.

“They do not have a permit and we are asking them to leave.”

Demonstrators with the Occupy group have brushed off the mayor's plans and promised to regroup at another location if evicted.

A few protesters tried to set up a new base in the park behind the Ontario legislature over the weekend, but their efforts were cut short.

Police shut down the fledgling camp Saturday night and brought the demonstrators back to the original site.

That time has long gone. Nothing happened.

Anonymous has to stop thinking the old world war tacky, of telling people a time and a place. Just go in and destroy everything, before people know what hit them.

I can't support a bunch of squatters who as a group can't even come up with a unified message other then the rich, educated and powerful run the world...well no . I would rather them run the world then the poor and uneducated.
