An impact in terms of awareness at the very least. |

How much of your "taxes" do you think these protesters "wasted"??
So much hate towards people that want to bring in accountability and responsibility to the corporate world...1 question: where are you in all the discussions where politicians are wasting millions of our taxes? Or when corporations abuse the system and pay no taxes? (or better yet: up the economy to the point that more of the government budget it put towards public services such as welfare because there's a sudden spike in the need for it?) |

I read that the cost of cleaning up the park and replanting the grass is tens of thousands
it was also mentioned that if the camp wasn't moved, it would cost $40,000 in the spring to fix the sprinkler system if it wasn't drained
I guess money grows on trees in this city?
I just don't see how sitting in the park with cardboard punchlines is going to solve the problem of corporate greed and abuse of power, tbh |

Yea everyone says that but they never seem to offer any better suggestions. If these weren't peaceful protests then you'd all be crying about how barbaric these people are and how they should be locked up for the violence they're creating. So they go protest peacefully, in a civilized manner, and you're complaining about how "sitting in a park with cardboard punchlines" ain't solving anything. Either way you'd be criticizing and complaining. |
