OK, so what are the advantages of running the Blackberry OS on WM?
Perhaps I speak out of my ass, in which case it would be a very smart one,
but WM6 is about as versatile as can be.
If it can emulate the BlackBerry OS it is therefore capable of much more.
No? |

If this were true, i dont know what all the fuss is about. Sure you'd be able to run blackberry apps in a blackberry style environment on a WM device, however the real advantage I've found with a blackberry compared to other phones is the ability to connect to the internet via the blackberry APN. Through this APN your able to access a ton of functions including Blackberry Messenger, and data is compressed at a very significant rate, leading to fast page loads among other things. Without having the right to access the Blackberry server, a WM phone running a blackberry OS seems pretty useless to me.... |

essentially.
instead of using the standard Rogers APN (internet.com), Blackberry's have the ability to connect to the Blackberry.net APN which compresses data and allows access to Blackberry Messanger among others....
In order to access this Blackberry server you must have a blackberry enabeled data plan from your service provider...
....i may be completely wrong about all of this but ive used BB for a while now and this is my understanding of how it works... |

You're just on a smartphone dataplan with BIS... not the MobileWAP internet.com which is part of the unlimited mobile or 5MB plans used for download games and rintunes and rogers mall etc on non smartphones like the RAZR or Sony Ericson series... |
