The second map released 09.08.09

Noticed they're a week a part? Rogers re-adjusted to make Oakville & Toronto, not Long Distance anymore. Sorry they took down ver 2 map

Office of the Presdent of Rogers - Filing a complaint

See this page:
http://your.rogers.com/contact/complaint.asp

(Or just call, during biz hrs: 416 935 1100 and ask for off of Pres. You'll get a voicebox, leave a msg asking for callback.)

There's all the weapons I can give you, good luck. Dont say I dont help you guys ...

I gotta call customer care / rentention to see if they can add some LD mins to me, even though I dont call Oakville, I do have family there and before all this mess I "could" of called them.
LightsOut
^^
Thanks....

I have a couple family members in Oakville as well that I call, so if thats switched to long distance now then that'll give me a legitimate argument to make....

I'll give them a call on monday and report back on my progress..

the second map is coming up "404 not found", have another link?

2nd Map is taken down since the present revised map is now the official LCAs. The weapon used for this case, the LCA maps had been majorly revised 3x and it's unfair.

1)unfair
2)changed back to normal'ish
3)back to unfair

Quote the dates you found them.

So how does that change anything? Btw when I called them, Rogers already canceled my contract without notifying me. Give me some more substantial arguments against them and I'll go on to round 2.

^ Give them all the dates they've changed the LCA and how unfair it is. This is a valid weapon if they really want to fight it out w/ you.

EDIT:

OOOOOOKKKKKKKK I just called Roger's Customer Care regarding Toronto to Oakville calls, they said its not long distance. Even though it shows it on the map, they said to call in and confirm it.

They said Burlington is long d now, beats me ... well no need for free long d mins for me, that's as far I would call.

My account is noted, incase in the future they try to pull a fast one on me.

Good luck on this battle guys.

Canada’s DAVE Wireless becomes Mobilicity, launches this spring

New entrant WIND Mobile may have been getting the lion’s share of media attention in Canada thanks to parent company Globalive’s notorious battle with the CRTC, but today Data & Audio-Visual Enterprises announced it will begin offering its AWS 3G services as early as this spring under the brand name Mobilicity. With a battle cry of “Mobilicity: My Phone. My City. My Way”, all we know at this point in time is that its “value-packed unlimited plans” with contract-free services will kick off in Toronto this spring followed by Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa later in the year. Plan pricing as well as specifics about handsets have not been announced, but we do know that at the very least Nokia, RIM and Sony Ericsson will be well represented. So what say you, Canadians? Are you ready for another non-subsidizing carrier to enter the Canadian marketplace?
Fun fact: Mobilicity will become Canada’s seventh UMTS/HSPA carrier (Bell, Fido, Rogers, TELUS, WIND and Virgin are the others) and second to utilize AWS 3G.

Intresting ...

Rogers "New" Who Called notification changed 02.02.10

When you have a missed call before, you would get the SMS of who called.

Now the SMS is only sent out when your phone is off. Glad they changed it, the old format was a bit too much.

Someone on HoFo cancelling Rogers over the LCA Changes

Well well, what have we here? Perchance a belated xmas present from a wee birdie, dropped into my inbox?

Seems that someone took Rog to the CCTS over the LCA changes, with the cx seeking cancel@ECF=$0.

And cx won!

(Do note however, the matter wasn't "decided" by the CCTS - Rogers just capitulated shortly after the "investigation" stage commenced and long before a CCTS "decision" was rendered. Which suggests to me that Rogers thinks they would have lost had they fought it so they just cut their losses and gave the cx what the cx asked for: cancel@ECF=$0 + port).

A full 9-page PDF of all scanned pages can be had here if you'd like to share the details with anyone:

If anyone has any questions please post them publicly and hopefully our birdie will let me know their answers. I don't know if they are even a HoFo member since they just emailed me the scans (I put them into PDF for single-download ease).

Word on the streetz today Rogers launching new plans ...
Orko
I really hope so. My plan comes in at around $98 after taxes, for data and voice. Now, i do have the 6GB for $30 plan, but I dont even need it. I wanted to downgrade, but there isn't much out there.

Hopefully they come out with something a bit better, which reflects that competition is coming (hopefully).
