Getting a new personal cell phone and can't decide between the Pearl, K1 KRZR, and SE K790.

I just want to be able to listen to music (actually, not really because I'm about to get an Ipod), take pictures, have Bluetooth, and write text messages with ease. For the writing part alone, I think the Pearl is my best choice, as I don't want anything too chunky.

I guess I made up my mind. Pearl it is. Thank you, wireless thread! :)
Cosmic Fur
K790 will absolutely rape the Pearl in terms of picture-taking capabilities. It's like night and day. People say SureType is better than T9, but I dislike both equally.

Text messaging triples in Canada

Mobile phone customers in Canada sent more than 4.3 billion text messages in 2006, almost triple the 1.5 billion sent in 2005, according to a report released last week by the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association. Volumes peaked in December 2006 at more than 560 million in that month alone, which represents more than 18 million per day.

Roughly 18.5 million Canadians subscribed to wireless phone service by the end of 2006, which translates to a national wireless penetration rate of approximately 58%. And recent CWTA research estimates wireless penetration in major urban centres now exceeds 70%, with some large metropolitan areas approaching the 80% mark.

What do you guys think of the

Moto RIZR Z3?

Someone I know is selling a brand new one...
Jer.
After six months with the BlackBerry 8100, I'm extremely impressed. Now that there's some themes floating around, it's even better!

Anyone?
Cosmic Fur
I refrained from saying anything before, but I'd stay away from Moto. Maybe it's a personal agenda, but I REALLY don't like Motorola. Everything they make seems to be inferior to their competitors. Now Samsung, Nokia, or SE is a totally different story.

Can you recommend any good Slider phones?

I'm not a fan of flip phones at all...
Cosmic Fur
Possibly.. what's your budget?

It depends on my work situation (ie. If I have job this summer).

But I'm willing to spend upto $300. Don't want to have to spend more than that cause I will have to pay a penalty for cancelling my contract w/ Bell.

I don't need a phone with all the bells and whistles..I got iPod/DC for all that stuff.

I just want a sexy looking phone that has great reception lol. Is that to hard to ask?

Cosmic Fur
Hm.. if it's $300 for phone only your choices are quite limited, as sliders tend to be pricey. Phone with plan will be subsidized, so that may help out. what provider are you looking at?
exstasie
Definitely Rogers...

IT doesn't have to be a slider I guess. Just not a flip.
