That's a pretty serious plan, Pett. Too bad it's Telus.

Oh. OK. I konw what ur talking about. Vee gets those texts msgs. (funny enough, she hates that feature though, got it turned off, drives her nuts.)

Namedisplay shows the name of the person registered to that phoneline instead of just their number, so its like Caller ID ++.

Namedisplay = sounds like what like "call display" is a land line then. It shows you who is registered to phoneline.

Where as "caller ID" in all my phones only lists the NAME of the contact attached to that number if you have them saved in ur phone.

(WHICH BTW, i think is GAY... if someone has the ing person calling SAVED in my contact list already, i dont think one should have to pay extra just to have the darn phone connect the incoming number to the persons name that is already programmed in the phone! That should just be the way it works, you'd think)

Note: what is the point of having Caller ID on this plan then if you alreayd have namedisplay? (which is, as you said, like "caller ID++" ??? :conf: )

other companies usually match that offer. there's a whole thread on it in the hot deals section on RFD.

Caller ID is great for people you have in your phone's contact list beacuse you can have pictures of them show up or whatever. Namedisplay shows the name or company of somebody calling you that is not in your list.

It's stupid, yes, but I don't pay extra for it.

yeah, its weird, but its nice.

I get NameDisplay for Free as well, and it actually has come in handy a few times when some of my friends who've called me from their house instead of home, it displays their family name so I know its them...

Since I do screen my calls because i use to get random calls from people i didn't want to talk to lol

I don't get why everybody is so pants-tingly excited about the Bold. It's just another Blackberry with the same ol' OS that is even more unintuitive than vanilla Windows Mobile.

I've never had a flip-phone, and I'm looking forward to this:

However, this is likely my next phone, the Nokia N82:

I just got a blackberry curve for my first smart phone, and im really liking the change, but this thing is just pure sex...I want it bad. Is there a chance to buy one in the states and get it unlocked to work here? im not sure how these things work.
