I think I am going with the Motorola Milestone/droid to replace my iphone. I was thinking of the Sony Xperia X10, but the Droid has a Cortex CPU vs the Sony Snapdragon.
Thoughts? |

Why not get a Nexus One? Good phone, only problem that occurred with my phone... had to send it back to get the power button repaired twice :whip:
Froyo running like a charm though :D
I love Google Voice :D (sucks I am running it on wifi)
I just cant wait for Videotron to launch their network so I can use the 3G finally. |

Well I was originally leaning towards the Sony because of sound quality. This will obviously going to double as a mp3 player, and Sony usually has better sound quality. HTC cannot make a digital to analogue converter to save their life. |

The better consideration is that the Milestone runs on Android 2.1
The Experia is 1.6, if I'm not mistaken.
Dont buy any pre-2.X Android phone, bc Google and/or the phone makers dont seem to be supporting the early adopters with the 1.5 and 1.6 OS's.
EDIT:
On the Milestone vs. Nexus One comparison... if you are planning to sign a contract to get the phone at discounted price ($150 on 3 yr term for the Milestone), then that would rule out the Nexus One entirely.
But I guess if you're buying either one outright at full price, the decision becomes trickier, less of an obvious choice.
I like either equally. But I like that the Milestone has a physical keypad option!! Im not forced to use a virtual one if i dont want to.
Too bad we have no idea when Canada will ever see the HTC Evo 4... that phone is gonna be a wickedly sweet and powerful Android phone :D
EDIT 2:
My Milestone should be here any day now!! CANNOT WAIT!! Decided to leave BlackBerry for an Android phone... I just love how the phones look and work. My buddy in the US has had the DROID since it came out in Nov... and he loves the out of it...
Never seen him so attached to a phone in my life... he too left his Berry for it. |

June release, rumoured $1000 price tag. That's way too rich for my blood. Probably cause it has the Cortex A8 chip.
I need a new phone, but I just cannot decide! Digi how do you like your Motorola Droid? |

Seems like a pretty nice phone. Would be a nice change from my N1 thats for sure.
If I do get the Samsung it be my second phone from Korea. First one was the LG Eve and only had it for 3 months and for the N1.
I am so use to Nokia and Motorola (years ago). It was so hard to change, just sucks their phones haven't kept up to the market (i.e iPhone OS and Android). I know Motorola using Android but they phone still emit a ton of radiation.
All I can really hope for in the next coming months Google changes the N1.
I would like to get the iPhone but nah, no use when I can turn my phone into a mobile hotspot and have an iPad access the net via. WiFi :)
One thing thats nice about the Galaxy S is the swipe text input. |

1,000 bucks! Christ Jesus!
I bet that phone will be still $500 on a damn 3 yr term then! :O
And is that a US release? I wonder when Canada will see it... ?
And Aaron has a Droid/Milestone... noice! Didnt know.
I hope to be in that club by Monday, Tuesday at the very latest, when my new phone arrives in the mail! <3
I have yet to talk to a person that had a Droid and DOESNT love the out of it! :D (Good sign!) |

You guys w/ your Android OS should make your own dedicated thread. Since the % of the next wave of users are heading to Apple and Android, it would be nice for ppl to get the info they need.
Leave this thread for the "other" platforms and etc. |
