| People really need to stop quoting the "3-year contract" price as if it's a meaningful number. You're not actually going to sign a 3-year contract with Rogers... are you? |

Telus and Bell will be switching to GSM and Videotron will be the new player.
It seems other new entrants have abandonned, anyone knows more about this? |

Finally switched from Virgin's disgusting prepaid plan to a good talk/text monthly plan.
Before was $20 a month for 100 anytime and unlimited nights/weekends with a $5 text plan for 100 texts a month - this was their biggest texting plan and each text after that was 5 cents or 15 cents depending on who it was going to. As a result of using texts regularly I was getting monthly bills of $50-$80.
I was able to switch over to a talk/text monthly plan that gives me 100 anytime with unlimited weekends and unlimited texts for $25 a month. All I had to do was sign on for a year which ended up giving me unlimited calling anytime for the first month
Thank the lord. |

I think the auction that is going on right now might create some new entrants into the GSM market. I was reading somewhere that Telus was bidding on some of that...
