I have to wash my hair every single day. If I skip a day, my hair gets really greasy and starts to get piece-y. Washing it every day seems to work for me though, and I always use a deep conditioner to try and prevent drying it out.
I don't really do anything with my hair other than wash, brush and tie it up. No curling irons, straighteners, no hair products... and I stopped dying my hair a few years back. I seem to have pretty healthy hair. |
Get this. You can get it at Shopper's.

It's an awesome product. It's not actually shampoo in the sense that it cleans your hair - rather it just gets rid of oily residue. Love this stuff. |

did you know- black people can't wash their hair every day? it ruins their hair. |
it doesn't ruin our hair but it's not a good idea. the reason every other race washes their hair so often is because it gets greasy, our hair never gets greasy because our scalps don't produce the same amount of oil that yours do. we all need a bit of that oil to keep your hair healthy and since black people produce so little oil it really doesn't make sense to wash it out each day. in fact we add products to our hair to give us that missing oil and much needed moisture. seriously my hair regiment may seem ridiculous sometimes and i've "simplied" it by going natural. then combine that with how much time it takes on our wash or co-wash days you'll see it's not something you can do each day. i rinse pretty much every day, do a full on shampoo/conditioner once a week then a co-wash (wash with just conditioner) once a week. |

I don't wash my hair every day either. It's thick and showering daily would dry it out too much as my hair doesn't get oily as fast.. so I wash it every second day. I don't use ANY styling products on my hair because it's super 'obedient' and stays in place whatever I do with it. So there's no need for them.
My shower routine: Shampoo twice and put on conditioner that I leave in for 2 - 3 min then rinse.
Once a month I smother it in olive oil that I leave in for 2 hours. This is an ancient and popular practice amongst the women in my country. I've only started doing it recently after I dyed my hair for the first time - which dried it out a lot =/, I don't think I will ever dye my hair again.. and when I'm old I'll have long white dreadlocks, yeah! |

i dunno, as far as i know, girls are a lot more prone to not wash their hair daily than men are. most dudes i know take showers regularly, but most girls i've had this conversation with don't. i was shocked the first time a girl told me that. |
One of my exes is convinced that shampooing every day was leading to hair loss. So he stopped washing his hair every day. He would still rinse it out but would only shampoo every third/fourth day. |

So I bought this mascara by Maybeline called "Lash Stiletto" and it is AWESOME! Pretty cheap ($5~) too! :gsmile: I think Maybeline may have the best make up when it comes to drug store cosmetics. Their foundation, powders, mascaras, etc. all rock.
You should only be washing your hair everyday if you sweat profusely or something. I always wash mine every other day except for now because I've been going to the gym everyday. |

They are L'Oreal by any other name, which also makes some quality products. |
