Styling competitions. Usually it's coupled with an actual fashion show/shoot. But most of the time it's like, "hey look new hairstyles". |

i would be a great hair model. my hair rocks and does anything you want it to.
although i wouldn't be down with ppl chopping it all off and doing whatever the they want to it. i'd have to have some say:stongue: |

That is really cool. Usually when my hair isn't butchered to hell it looks quite nice.
But I'm super short, so I couldn't model it anyway. |

I'll post some pics of past shoots/old work of my hairdresser's when I get home. But Bas has the basic idea. It's for competitions. Hair is the main component, but photos are also judged for makeup, styling, and appropriateness of the model. Live shows are a little different. The colour is done ahead of time and the cut is done live on stage, under a time limit.
And no, you don't have to be tall to do it, but really pro photographers do prefer actual models...for obvious reasons. |
