i know you're buddy buddy with some members of this forum, but you have to be kidding me.
Which ones? LOL
I'm sorry, but you're being ing ridiculous. Do you have any idea how often you preach about your gender choices and call people insensitive, insecure, and berate other members for not accepting your constant babble on transgender equality? I defended you and told you that I respected your decision and supported you, but you apparently ignored that. I'm speaking as a voice of reason when I tell you to relax on posting all your horse about people insulting your kind.

Yes, it IS offensive when you use it in a hurtful way, usually when directed at someone to lower their overall sense of self-worth. I also think instilling fear and loathing into a word and creating a sense of shame to anyone who uses it is worse. Didn't you learn anything from Harry Potter?
so when you said 'tranny version', you meant what exactly? that draco malfoy would look better as a transgender person?

No, that when I looked in the mirror this morning I realize with my hair cut, paleness, and face shape I look like Draco Malfoy if he sprouted a pair of breasts.
Because I don't want to look like a sneering, rich douchebag with uncanon great I want a change in hairstyle.

i just don't understand the entitlement you feel to using the pejorative.

also, Hal, it's "she", as I've clearly pointed out many times. there is no confusion about that except for those who are either trying to get a rise out of me, or actually have strong anti-transgender opinions. In my real life, there are some people who have known me a very long time for whom it is actually excusable to slip up and use the wrong pronoun out of habit, but here it is not a question of alienating myself when I have made my preference for gendered pronouns exceedingly clear time and again.
I'm well aware of your preference, but don't you think "she" is a bit conservative? My point is that you chose to stop resembling and functioning as a male, in order to become a female. But that's not what you are. I don't mean that to be demeaning in the least; In fact, I think you're so much more. But you're still feminesque in truth - that's not a bad thing, I'm just telling you which way the wind blows. Start talking with your loins more, wo-man!

CONSERVATIVE? like I have an option. there are two third-personal pronouns in the english language, and one for inanimate objects.
If I were to be like Justin Vivian Bond and insist on the usage of invented pronouns such as 'V', then y'all would be on my case even more than you are currently.
A line has to be drawn somewhere for practicality. It isn't much to ask people to recognize my transgender identity by using 'she'. I'm not here asking everyone to pretend I was born as a woman!
My transgender identity itself is radical by definition. I live integrated in society and work within the framework of existing language and gender roles. Call me conservative if you find it amusing, but you know that's silly.

Because after spending years with transgender people from all stages and walks of life I feel comfortable enough to say it. I feel comfortable to say any pejorative, so long as my meaning is not harmful.
Also, if the queens call each other trannies, well... when in Rome.
