Lately, whenever I'm out and about--on the street, at work, you name it--I see women wearing flip-flops. And we're not talking stylish, dressy flip-flops. We're talking plain flip-flops, as in beachwear. This really confuses the hell out of me. I thought women liked to dress up and wear shoes (at least judging by this thread)? I thought women cared about style and glamor?
Now I know it's summer, but what are we, on the beach or something? I live in a metropolitan area, and I even see this in clubs. To me, women wearing flats is an instant turn-off. It's just way too casual. Have some style for s sake, you're a girl!
Any ladies here care to explain? I mean here you are talking about shoes (the stereotype), while in real life you don't give a about what you look like?:conf: |

90% of the time I'm in jeans, t-shirt, no make-up, glasses and flats. Unless I am going to a club or a nice place I don't dress up because its just not me. I do go all out glam (nice dress, heels to match, make-up... you get the idea); I can't fathom going out dancing in some flip-flops and jeans with a sparkly tank-top, it just seems so out of place. But, if thats what makes those girls happy, then so be it. Not everyone is going out with the intention to attract others.
If a guy is really turned off by the type of shoes I wear or my level of everyday stylishness then he's probably not the kind of guy I want to date in the first place. |
