I know. I can't believe I overlooked it.

From my experience, the one gripe I have with hot rollers is that if it's humid out, my hair is hopeless (naturally wavy bordering more on straight than curly). On those days, just best to flat iron it straight as my hair will go all limp and lifeless with hot rollers. The key is product and a dry climate. Humidity is hell.

I am going to Miami for xmas and there are 2 by my house - I'll just buy them down there ;]

They are cute & pink!!!!!!!

Look at the cute lil black dress my bf picked out. I love it!! I tried it on after my nap from Black Friday

You totally rock that dress girl! I wish I could rock something like that, but I'm a little too curvy.

+1.. after 2 kids it doesn't matter how much diet and exercise i do, i'll always have bigger hips and ghetto booty. still learning to work with it.

Yukii - to be honest, I've always just sorted my own out. I figure - it's my life, why would I ask someone else what's the right thing to do in my situation?

Because I'm not omniscient (although, for that matter, neither is any of my friends).

Having someone look at your problems from the outside is a great eye-opener even specially if you disagree with the person who gives you the advice: your friend can see flaws where you can't, problems that you didn't anticipate, and alternative solutions that can enrich your way of dealing with the world.

I really hate advice like "You're doing the right thing, keep going". Even if the person reckons I did the right thing, I want an alternative solution to contrast with the one I chose.

:haha: Thanks but yeah - I wasn't really blessed with a booty and super huge hips.

I love the dress and want to wear it soon but I dunno where because it's already starting to be cold. I can't wait to wear it out!!!!

The hot roller situation - maybe in Miami it would suck with the humidity but I am sure in the winter (and not so windy days) it may work. My hair is just fairly straight and I hope the curls can stay up for longer than 2 hours. I'm not really a hairspray kinda girl.

Unless anyone knows one of those good hairsprays that leave your hair flexible - not stuck!

p.s. who is the alt/new user?

MeLLyMel - Are you referring to me? An avid female trance fan here living in the Big Apple... I'm surprised that there is a female thread! I thought it was a male-dominant genre.

Well, it sort of is... but that doesn't mean we exterminate anyone without a Y-chromosome :)

Welcome!
