I have to wash my hair every single day. If I skip a day, my hair gets really greasy and starts to get piece-y. Washing it every day seems to work for me though, and I always use a deep conditioner to try and prevent drying it out.
|
it takes a few weeks to get over that.
basically next time you go on vacation just wash your hair every other day and your scalp will get used to producing less oil. I have had to do that because my hair is too fine and washing it just makes it fly away so i need to avoid washing. I am up to every three days now.
the deep conditioner doesn't help thin hair. makes it look like . (at least in my experience) |

The days I do an intense workout are the days I wash my hair... which means I end up washing my hair almost every day. (5-6 days a week)
Like Melly, I also do not condition my scalp - it allows my hair to remain less greasy longer. And, dry shampoo is amazing when you just have a lil grease you need to get rid of. :tongue2 |

Yeah dry shampoo changed my life. Now I only wash my hair every second or third day. Not only does it get rid of oil, but it adds so much volume and body. Stuff is the bomb.
I always condition my scalp. My shampoo and conditioner are meant to be massaged in. They have mint in them and it makes my scalp all tingly and stimulated.
I use this stuff:

I love pureology products. They all smell ing amazing. |

I never heard of pureology until you mentioned it...
I can say that we got a new water filtration/softener system in our house and wow - my hair looks like I just got my hurrr done at the salon after every shower!
The only shampoo/conditioner that I actually massage into my scalp is my david babaii products... omg win. I literally own EVERY product made by him.
The volcanic ash and beach spray are my must have essentials.

Yeah Pureology is salon exclusive stuff. :)
I use a few different things. Root lift, and two different power dressings - one is for styling/hold, and the other is for smoothing/straightening. I can understand people who don't like using hair products, but they truly are a must if you heat style your hair, because they protect the hair shaft. |

When I'm out of the polish (which is often...) I use Biolage Fortifying Heat Styler to protect my hair from heat products.
Is Pureology a Canadian brand? I know, silly question - but I have never seen it in any of the high end salons I've been in. |
