There have only been 2 poorly ref'd games so far and a couple boring ones. Other than that it been the best cup I've seen in a while.

Goals are up by a fair margin, There have been some suprizes, but nothing really out of what was expected, so far anyways!

You think this one is not better than the last world cup?

I agree...

I've been watching world cup games since 1994, and this world cup has been one of the most exciting ones to my concern.

WC06 by far > WC 94 > WC 98 > WC 02
WC 02 was so stupid that i actually gave up on it and didn't watch the final game! ... still can't believe how south korea gut to the semi finals.

HAHAHHA. biggest pile of crap post I've seen on this thread. Sorry bro but you have no idea what you're talking about.Do you even watch football outside the WC? I doubt it. Are you seriously dumping brazil in the same pile of swan divers as Portugal, Italy, Argentina, etc? LOL Bitter about 2002 still? Brazil and Portugal have totally different styles of play. Brazilians do not need to throw themselves on the floor every other minute, they actually prefer to stay on their feet to play the best way they know how to play - kicking ass, running circles around the opponent and terrorizing defenses. I am partly European and as much as I want Europe to re-take the cup this year, thorwing all "latin" countries in the same pile is pretty ignorant. You make yourself look like a bitter poor fan.

does anybody remember that game where cafu faked he had been hit on the face? the referee is looking the other way , the other guy was like one meter away and Cafu rolls on the field with his hands on the face, screaming in pain lol. the other dude got a red card, that was the . dam i can't remmember the exact game.

but yeah, they don't need to that ( unless it is necesary :-) i really believe the brazilians have conquered the soccer zen or something.

it will be a good world cup after all.

:haha:

it was against Turkey...and im pretty sure that he was fined for it afterwards as the ref had missed it

all big teams use some sort of simulation or play-acting...it is a means to get the refs attention and get the opposition player carded coz sometimes the ref might miss something that was worth carding for and then later players make a mountain out of a molehill so that justice prevails.

problem is...some teams do it all the time even when its just a feather touch. the only way to combat it is to use the help of replays..in this modern age when instant replays are 'instantly' available i dont see why a panel of 2-3 cant be sitting by the game analysing these sorts of incidents where they can then bring to the refs attention or file a report and punish the players after the game.
