Is that self proclaimed? I never understood that one?
With Players like Beckham, the Ronaldo's, Ronaldinho etc.
To me there was/is always better players. And in 98' They only won cause it was in France. They should have been out at the hands of Croatia in the semis!!! |

| Entertaining first half. Croatians are defending very well and Brazil's front needs better communication. I want to see Robinho in for Ronaldo. A classic Kaka goal though. Good stuff. |

no it's not self-proclaimed mr.mulder, Zidane actually won player of the year honours. I'm not a fan of his, but what he did that year for France was incredible. You cannot say that France won just b/c it was in France. How come Italy didn't win it in 1990 just b/c it was in Italy? Home advantage is big, but you still need to outplay the best teams in the world. Zidane did just that in the finals. His game is very tactical, he rises above his opponents and finds way to change the flow of the game. Now he's definately not the same, but back in 98, he was top 3 players if not the best imo. |

Now since Barry's idea fell apart, I think I'll try to organize sumfin' very soon!
Brazil 1-0 over Croatia
a little boring at times, Brazil showed flares a few times but nothing special. Ronaldinho looked tired in the second half, Perreira is making a big mistake by keeping Juninho on the bench!
Brazil will most likely face Italy in the first round or Czecks. That should be a turning point of this tournament. If Brazil wins, I think they'll grab all the momentum to win the cup but if they lose, boy that's when the tournament really begins!! |

| Robinho should've gone in for Ronaldo earlier... and Cicinho should've gone in for Cafu. I think Parreira was too scared to do that tho. |
