To Emery and St.Andrew:

Guys, honestly, you can ALWAYS find tix.
The BIGGEST games are REALLY tuff, i agree.
But group phase matches its basically a gimme.

A TON of my friends went to Portugal last summer,
and got tix to 6 (SIX!) different games.

I was at France98, and i scored tix to the semis
between France and Croatia - granted it was at
the Stade de France which holds 80 000, but it WAS the semis.

My best friend was also there and scored tix to 4 different
games that year as well....

BOTTOM LINE: As long as ur willing to pay and ur not too
picky with where u sit, u WILL get tix. 100% BELIEVE me

Unlike before you won't be able to get tickets on the black market this time! Cause you have to prove your identity with an ID card, so unless you have a fake ID + matching ticket, you won't come in. Did your friends get tickets from black market or by legal means?

Also I think the interest for this is more massive than anything we have seen before, that Germany is in the middle of Europe doesnt make it less interesting... Of my friends perhaps 80% of all the ppl are talking about going to Germany next summer, no matter if they get tickets or not. If only a fraction of those ppl go, we will still have like half a million from Sweden alone down there, wanting tickets, and I can't imagine the interest being less in other countries.

Oh and the first game between Croatia and Sweden I missed because I didn't find any statin in canada that showed it :p

Anyway, we will beat ya in the cup :D:p

Who cares what club teams they play for I mean this is a tournament that gets away from that. Not to mention our best player is ibrohemevich and he plays for Juventus. Either way i see your point I just don't understand it.

Congrats to Serbia (to any Serbs here), your consistency was enough in the end for 1st place.

thanks man. first time in ages we have a team thats not made of lazy superstar punks and its finally paying off. i hope spain will make it thru cause they deserve it more than 30% of the teams alredy in (imo).

this was one of the ugliest games ever. newsflash: WAR WAS OVER 10 YEARS AGO ! bosnian media didnt wanna let it go. "revenge, revenge" wtf it was just a soccer game. Fatmir Alispahić (reporter for some newspaper from bosnia) is comparing yesterdays game with regime of hitler and musollini, ing loser, suck it up and let it go, its just soccer.

i hate when they make it political like this

Ivan, i think St. Andrew already mentioned this but it's different this year such that ticket purchases require an application directly with the German Football Association and FIFA. This is a bid to keep out hooligans from the matches who have had their passport #'z blacklisted by certain countries. I posted a thread not too long ago providing information on the whole ticket purchase process..

for more info..

The second sales period for 2006 FIFA World Cup™ match tickets begins on 2 May 2005 at 12 o'clock midday CEST (Central European Summer Time).
Tickets will be allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis in this sales period, i.e. applications will be processed in the order they are received. Subject to availability, TST (Team Specific Ticket) series may be ordered by applicants wishing to follow a specific team as they progress through the tournament. Due to high levels of demand in the first sales period, individual tickets and TST series will not be available at the start of the new period for the following nations: Germany, Argentina, Brazil, England, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the USA.

40,000 tickets re-allocated
24 August 2005
by OC 2006 FIFA World Cup

A total of 40,665 single tickets covering all 64 matches at the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ were re-allocated in a ballot conducted on Tuesday night. The tickets are returns from the first sales phase resulting from non-payment or failure to comply with the sales regulations. The OC had been expecting a higher number of returns. "But a significant number of applications did end up paying after receiving a written reminder. The new draw only included applicants who received no tickets at all in the first two sales phases. We're delighted that a few more people will now receive tickets for the World Cup," commented OC senior vice-president Horst R. Schmidt.

In a repeat of the procedure used for the first sales phase, the new ballot took place at OC premises in Frankfurt and was supervised by a lottery official from the state of Hesse. The ballot software has been certified as guaranteeing an equal chance of success to all applicants. The latest winners will be notified by 26 August 2005 and asked to confirm receipt of the notification in writing within 14 days.

812,000 FIFA World Cup match tickets were made available for sale in the first two sales phases, including 147,000 TST or team-specific series. TST returns will be offered for sale through www.FIFAworldcup.com at a later date.

A further 300,000 tickets go on sale in the third sales phase beginning in December 2005. As in the first phase, applicants are under no time pressure as the order in which applications are received has no bearing on the likelihood of getting tickets. The OC is assuming demand will again outstrip supply, and will allocate tickets by ballot on a match-by-match basis.

At the current time, the following 24 team series are sold out: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, England, Spain, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Iran, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, USA, Switzerland, Sweden and Ukraine. However, tickets remain available for 81 nations.

Hahhaaa... that's all they CAN do... cause some more bull and complain about things they caused, tried to blame it on us, dragged us into, and then lost in the end... ;)

And yes, it's good that we're finally back into the World Cup... this will be great for all the young guns our team is bringing along, valuable experience.

SOOOO BAD

at least we dont lose to china:tongue3 :haha:
Saudi Arabia is ranked #28 right after S.Korea in the fifa ranking and the world cup quilifies 32, so technically Saudi Arabia DESERVES to be there. as for ty playing thats your own ty opinion and only yours.

BUT as for dirty, COME ON MAN!! IRAN takes the crown with whip cream and cherries on top.

a perfect example is what IRAN did to Oman in the asian cup last year, Iran's Mohammad Nosrati Deliberately stomped:eek: on Oman's Imad Ali, which lead him to be BANNED From the Tournament and a $7000 fine:eek: . the same game ended by giving THREE RED CARDS  to the IRANIAN team.
DAMN!! now thats REALLY DIRTY.:whip:

buddy you need to sit down and SHUD IT.

I WISH he'd kill that ing player... so what david bekham did the same. in fact just a few days ago in the bundesliga Eintracht Frankfurt - Bayern Munich game, some idiot did the same thing to bayerns french internation valerioan ismeal.
... did you know in that game, the bahrain game , the arabs kept falling on the floor every ing 2 minutes ????
the commentator of the iran vs. baharain game was getting pissed off . he made a joke out of the arabs, he called it a disgrace to the world of football and that fifa should emphasize FAIR PLAY ALOT MORE IN THE ARAB NATIONS SUCH AS BAHRAIN . OMAN . SAUDI
did you know in that game iran lost which lead to the qualification of saudi arabia to WC 2002, the bahraini players got brand new mercedes benz cars courtesy of the saudi government just for beating IRAN !!!!
"win the game and get your prize"
if i was in the pitch , i would KILL EVERY SINGLE bahrani player ... they even held the saudi arabia FLAG UP AFTER THEY BEAT IRAN ...
